Getting woken up by house keeping on the day I was checking out was unacceptable. She also came into the room as I was sleeping and work me up! Why don’t you just wait until I checked out at 12! Was not happy to get woken up as I wanted to sleep in before checking out at 12

Our daily housekeeping is standard to ensure comfort, but we regret the disturbance during your check-out day, this is definitely not the experience we aim to provide. Please note we have addressed this issue already to try to prevent it from happening again. We also take cleanliness seriously and will reinforce our pillow protocols. I was meant by a very helpful member of staff ( Maciej I think) who gave me some useful tips on travel and things to do and avoid. It's hearing the local knowledge like this that makes a greeting stand out. The room was clean and comfortable and a good size for a single traveller or a couple. The travel in and out of central Amsterdam is very easy with a regular bus leaving from just outside the hotel. I spent a very happy 4 days exploring museums and galleries in the central area and the proximity of the hotel worked very well for this. It's a great deal cheaper than the other Ibis hotels that are closer to the main central areas and the distance didn't bother me as the public transport is generally very good. I didn't go for the breakfast at 18.50 Euro which seemed very expensive to me. I ate in my room which worked very well. The hotel is near a busy road and there was some road noise at night time. I slept with earplugs so had no issue but very light sleepers may wish to specify a room at the back of the hotel if that's possible.

I've booked this hotel for the purpose of doing a professional exam in the testing centre closeby the next day. The sole purpose being that, I checked in with my belongings and realised there were to fridges in any of the rooms, unless you're paying for a business suite. Having packed all the neccessities for the next 9+ hour day of a bar exam; I kindly asked the receptionist to hold my food containers in their kitchen fridge. To which I was laughed at my face, and told next time to pay more and not be this cheap. May I add that in this day and age, having no fridge, kettle, coffee machine in a hotel room is what makes it cheap. Reversing the burden of this standard onto customer is embarassing. I already shared this experienced online, if you need to contact me further you have my email in the booking.
