bad experience, book at trip.com, when try to check in, hotel front desk told me they didnt received order from trip. end up with paying walk in rate(triple from the original booking) to check in. after check in, trip.com told me they have to cancel the original order with hotel, which means : hotel received order, but they dont allow me to check in with the cheaper rate which i got from trip.com.

Therefore, any cancellation of the original booking would have been initiated by the agent, not by the hotel. At the time of check-in, the booking was not available for use. As the stay fell during the festive season, room availability was very limited, and the prevailing walk-in rate was applied accordingly. This rate differs from the agent’s contracted rate.
