Hotel is very well located but the beach is public with no dedicated space for hotel customers. Buffet was okay with limited choices. Room service was poor but hotel staff was nice and very helpful. Overall it was average vacations

Nice welcome, even if we didn't get the welcome drink as promised the view was splendid. The beach is nice but having the beach umbrella all over the beach was unconfortable and you dont get to enjoy the view because of il. But overall we had a Good experience except for the food

The hotel is amazing, but some things were really daunting while my stay : - the power(electricity) went out 3 times during my stay - there was a leak in the shower hose. - the sink wasn't draining water. - the elevators are extermly slow! I had to take the stairs most of times(from and to the 4th floor) Other than that all was good.

A nice place with a beautiful view on the Mediterranean beach and near the port where you can bay and cook delicious fresh fish. I strongly recommend and hope to come back again soon.

The location is fantastic. The restaurant abs especially mr Karim from there is very hospitable. But the room was horrible with a terrible smell that the hotel do nothing much about . At check out I requested to meet the hotel manager which wasn’t entertained at all

We were at the hotel during Ramadan so I wasn’t expecting to be able to get alcohol, but amazingly I spotted a bar code for the bar menu at reception on check in. So I asked about alcohol and the receptionist said that food and alcohol were available via room service at any time, but that the restaurant and bar wouldn’t open physically until 8pm. So at 6pm I rang room service and ordered a bottle of wine, a mint tea, and 2 bottles of water. At 6.45pm I rang again to check on progress. I was informed that they couldn’t serve alcohol even via room service until 8pm. So I asked what had happened to the non-alcoholic drinks. I was told they’d cancelled the whole order without telling me because of the wine. Utterly bizarre. So at 8pm we went down to the restaurant and we ordered a bottle of wine with the meal, only to be told that they only had the most expensive bottle of wine in stock (MAD 450). We ordered it anyway, and then the waiter came to tell us that they couldn’t find a corkscrew. We expressed utter disbelief and I said I’d be writing a very negative review online if a Mercure hotel couldn’t source a corkscrew! 10 minutes later a corkscrew appeared, and we finally got a glass of wine, 2.5hrs after originally ordering it... the next evening we went to the restaurant for dinner at 8.15pm only to be told that the manager had decided that food would no longer be served in the restaurant - only via room service. But they said we could place the order with them before going back to our room. As we were deciding, a family arrived for dinner and the mother went ballistic to be told that the policy had changed overnight and they couldn't eat in the restaurant. So the waiters caved and allowed us all to eat dinner in the restaurant. On a separate issue, I asked on arrival for info about Al Hoceima national park and whether they could recommend any guides. I’m not sure they’d even heard of the park - the only guidance they gave me was to look it up on Google maps....

As a person who had 30 years of experience in hospitality, I was surprised in a bad way, with the quality of services, the cleanliness of the room, breakfast ( I had never drink tea or coffee in a broken and dirty cup), I'll not get back to the hotel for sure, and I did not recommend anyone to go to there.

The hotel is the only decent hotel in al hoceima. This is my 3rd stay in the hotel. The location is the best thing about the hotel with direct access to the beach. But the amenities need a lot of improvement. Food in breakfast is tasteless. The limited choices and the huge line of people is very horrible experience .

We arrived, without reservations, during off-season and at the beginning of the corona virus. Staff abilities were varied as some were clearly seasoned and others completely new. The rooms were fine and the views are great. The restaurant was initially very dirty and completely unprepared for food service, including not having coffee station set up when breakfast opened. However, it got MUCH better over time and the people got better. I think the issue is staff coverage. When they're staffed, it's great.
