We booked and paid $460 per night for a "lodge" we got a very basic motel room connected to 3 others. Very noisy plumbing all interconnected, very noisy bar fridge, dirty smelly bathroom with no windows..... food in the restaurant expensive but when you have a virtual monopoly you don't care.

The room was comfortable, the bistro food good and the breakfast ok but not really worth the price paid. Our stay was marred by very noisy guests in the room / lodge next door. They returned to their room sometime after midnight and were very loud for at least an hour waking us up and we were not able to go back to sleep for some time. This then somewhat spoiled our next day in Kakadu as we were tired. We would not stay at Cooinda Lodge again because of the risk of disturbed sleep. We would not recommend the accommodation for the same reason. Another place we stayed in Kakadu was quiet despite guests in adjacent rooms. Sadly a disappointing stay for visitors from overseas.

We enjoyed our experience at Cooinda Lodge. Tent was clean and very comfortable for our family of 3. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Handy shop at Lodge although maybe just a couple of fresh food options like some fruit, oranges apples would be fantastic. We will definitely return.

Service from the staff was fantastic, however, for a family the room was far to small. There wasn't enough space for 4 suitcases and four people. Our toilet didn't work and there was towels missing from the room. Facilities like the pool, restaurant and bar were great. Awesome vibe. Also loved how the guided tours integrated into the venue with bus stops and transfers.

This place was amazing, the lodge is huge and plenty to do for couples and families. We stayed in one of the deluxe Cabins. The amenities catered for every need right down to sunscreen and Rid. The bath on the balcony with the mineral salts and listening for the wildlife under the stars is a memory I will treasure. The staff were so accommodating and a shout out to Nellie who swapped our wine to a Chardonnay.

Overall great place. Bird sounds all around. Accommodation in glamping tents, great eventhough there are no televisions. The camp kitchen that we used the toaster for morning muffins could do with an update. The bar and restaurant operated well but I believe some pre made sandwiches to buy after the morning Yellow Water Cruise would be great.

Cooinda lodge was such a beautiful place to stay after first arriving in Kakadu. We started with a swim in the pool after relaxing in our beautiful glamping tent that was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. I wish we had more time to spend in our tent but we had a very early tour. Dinner and drinks at Barra Bar and Bistro was great, whereas the buffet breakfast at Mimi’s was overpriced and underwhelming.

The grounds and restaurants were excellent. We loved the food in both restaurants. We were just disappointed that the room was so small and had very limited facilities. There were no plates or cutlery or toaster, so it was impossible to even organise a little snack to have on the patio.
