The great wet season escape

I had a relaxing time at the Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, utilising the pool a couple of times and being amazed by the high quality meals on offer. It was a great little wet season get away coupled with the Yellow Water Sunrise Cruise.

Only stayed one night to be fair but although the room was well appointed and clean the bathroom was ' tired' and in need of renovation. It was the restaurant that warranted the disappointed tag. I chose something from the menu with chicken - not really sure what it was with but it turned out to be a rather dry chicken portion surrounded by multi coloured ' mess' . I waited 40 minutes for this. I asked for a glass of red wine. As I reached the bottom I tasted something a bit metallic. It was fly. The waiter did not seem surprised! I think the menu would be better in plain and simple language and cooked that way.

Great food, comfortable bedding, good to have a desk to allow me to work at (many hotels have poor or no facilities for business travellers)
Enjoyed staying as we love coming to Kakadu - have stayed at Crocodile Hotel quite a few times before

Very good. Enjoyed dinner in the dining room for 2 nights, staff was very friendly. We were a bit disappointed that we lost power for several hours on the first night, but being Territorians we are quite used to that.
A lovely stay
