Nice hotel, but so under staffed. Only one person working the bar for the hotel which was fully booked. Queues for the restaurant out the door. Restaurant not opened for lunch leaving on the Puma petrol station for somewhere in January to get lunch.

After 15 years having lived in the Northern Territory, we finally embarked on a trip to visit the magnificent Kakadu National Park. There were a number of options for us to chose for accommodation, which we settled with the Mecure Crocodile Hotel at Jabiru and welcomingly, we weren't disappointed upon arrival. Our rooms were well kept, the staff professional and courteous and the dinner options, festive. By basing ourselves at the Mecure Crocodile hotel, we were able to explore many of the attractions that Kakadu had on offer and with our 4 kids making up our party of 6, the hotel catered to our needs and provided a sage and comfortable dwelling for the kids to recharge for the following days itinerary. Our warmly thanks goes out to the Mecure Crocodile hotel and it's invaluable staff.

Well located

Chris D. Couples - 01/08/2020 Confirmed reviews ALL

The hotel is well located in Kakadu. However, the hotel is not well maintained and the rooms were not cleaned well. We understand the COVID influence but this is a systemic issue. As owners of retail businesses hosting 1,000 guests per D. on some days, cleanliness is everything. Only one manager cared and the others passed it off as a COVID issue. The room cleaners were not interested in proper cleaning, just making beds and changing towels. Effectively lasziness.

Old and unkempt looking property

The room itself was comfortable enough however the bathroom is very small and cramped. The property looked Old, dirty, unkempt and badly in need of Renovation.

I took my family (six adults and one child) to Kakadu for three nights. We do this most years. We had rooms 114, 115 and 116. The staff were clearly overworked due to shortages related to the pandemic and remote location but they were extremely friendly and helpful more than any of us remember before. In fact they made the hotel stay great!

Disappointing First Experience

Customer review rating 4.0/5

Kaejenn Families - 29/07/2020 Confirmed reviews ALL

Check in to the hotel was quite annoying as at 2pm I was told only 1 of the 3 rooms booked were ready and the other 2 would not be ready for "another couple hours". I was also not asked for a number to be contacted when the other rooms were ready. After 2 additional trips to check in desk we were checked into all 3 rooms and the room I was staying in which accommodated for an extra bed had no TV (only wall bracket) and no kettle. The feel of the rooms felt quite out dated and the only solace was the fact that the hotel was well positioned in Jabiru close to the central business area.

A brief holiday from Brisbane to Kakadu to tick Kakadu off my bucket list. Lovely service, extremely comfortable hotel - unexpectedly so! The only issue I had was a randomly noisy air-conditioner unit (117 or 118?) emitting a high pitched squeal on the last night of my stay, and a reduced food & beverage offering - again - understandable due to the COVID situation. Staff where very friendly, and bent over backwards to make our stay very pleasant.

Great hotel in Jabiru

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Yes, its a little dated, but clearly well looked after. The rooms are large with a nice view over the courtyard. Black out curtains allow for sleep ins, and there was very minimal noise from neighboring rooms. The restaurant food was great, could not fault it. The bar staff, wait staff and management were all friendly and helpful. The tempura barramundi was crispy and delicious :)

Clean, comfortable, good location, peaceful, staff are friendly.

We are seasoned travellers and we just stay at the hotel to sleep and this is normally what we do in all our travels. We are always out and about. To come home to a hotel that is clean and comfortable is more than enough for us. This hotel is centrally located and we love the Aboriginal decorations and paintings, something very unique and nowhere in the world. Kakadu is a must see place for all travellers. We booked this hotel through Travel Tourism using the NT $200 voucher scheme.

We stayed on the ground floor for one night. A good check in experience with staff facilitating an early check in so our toddler could sleep. Buffet breakfast was excellent.

Enjoyable ,comfortable 2night stay. Nice room overlooking pool. Enjoyed our refreshing swim in the afternoons. Thrilled with our late checkout , gave us time for a swim before our drive home.
