I had a relaxing time at the Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, utilising the pool a couple of times and being amazed by the high quality meals on offer. It was a great little wet season get away coupled with the Yellow Water Sunrise Cruise.

Only stayed one night to be fair but although the room was well appointed and clean the bathroom was ' tired' and in need of renovation. It was the restaurant that warranted the disappointed tag. I chose something from the menu with chicken - not really sure what it was with but it turned out to be a rather dry chicken portion surrounded by multi coloured ' mess' . I waited 40 minutes for this. I asked for a glass of red wine. As I reached the bottom I tasted something a bit metallic. It was fly. The waiter did not seem surprised! I think the menu would be better in plain and simple language and cooked that way.

Very good. Enjoyed dinner in the dining room for 2 nights, staff was very friendly. We were a bit disappointed that we lost power for several hours on the first night, but being Territorians we are quite used to that.

The hotel is dated but the rooms are large and well furnitured. The staff are what make this hotel a real treasure with amazing service that made this a great stay. Fantastic access to Kakadu National Park. And how many people can say they have stayed inside a large crocodile. If you are making the trip then this is a great place to stay.

We enjoyed visiting Ubirr Rock and Nourlangie Rock. The hotel pool was awesome. We were disappointed with the moisture on walls in the hotel room caused by Airconditioning. The room smelled musty, cushians had mould on them and sheets and carpet felt damp. The restaurant had lovely food.

I left my bathers in the room, which ended up in the laundry. I was very grateful when I came back two days later that they could be located. I appreciated you serving dinner up to 8.30pm allowing time to catch the sunset at Ubirr. Territory resident rates in the wet season are very much appreciated. The room was comfortable and we appreciated the up grade. The food was delicious - can’t wait to come back again and we have told loads of our friends what a wonderful stay it was. Thank you

Staff were great , room nice, food good but too expensive. Pre-approval hold on credit card was not netted off against the total which is what it is designed for. Instead I was asked to pay the whole bill. There are no mini bars so there is no justification in this. Although you asked the bank to release, the bank refused and made me wait nearly 2 weeks. This in unfair and you just had to net off, but you knew that anyway and misled me. This has changed my opinion of the hotel from being a supporter in the Darwin community to warning people about your practice.

An older hotel, but excellent staff for the most part

We stayed at the hotel from 29 to 31 December 2019. While the rooms and facilities were older, they were well-maintained and clean for the most part. What really stood out for us was your staff - the lady who checked us in was fantastic, as were all your staff in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we did have one unpleasant experience with one of your bar staff and another staff member. On two separate occasions, we noted this particular staff member, Jen, as the 'less friendly one' because she was so different from all the other staff members we had encountered. In the first incident, we were still staying at the hotel and we asked if it was possible to fill up our water bottles at the bar. Jen obliged, but my partner remembered her as she appeared to disapprove of the request and carried out begrudgingly. We would not even have remembered this or the staff member except that we then had another less-than-stellar experience and it happened to involve the same staff member. In the second incident, we had already left the hotel but came back the following day to see if lunch was still being served. It was quite late in the day (3pm or thereabouts), so we waited at the bar to ask the staff if lunch was still available. Jen and a lady in a green shirt (who it turns out was from Accounts) were behind the bar, with Jen making coffees and the lady in green chatting to two locals. We waited patiently, but in the five minutes we stood there, neither Jen nor the lady in green had even greeted us or acknowledged our presence. At this point, we prepared to go and the lady in green then turned and said "She'll be with you in a minute" (referring to Jen) and walked past us. We were quite frustrated by this - in our eyes, a bar staff member had just spent five minutes ignoring us to chat to her friends and had then walked off. We were later informed by the manager on call at the time that she was from Accounts. While I understand that this was not her area of work or role, it would've been really appreciated if she just had've briefly stopped her chat with the locals to tell us that she was in Accounts and that the other staff member would be with us shortly. She may have been aware that she was not bar staff, but we were not and I feel it was very rude to deliberately ignore us rather than just simply letting us know. After the lady in Accounts walked away, we then spent another few minutes waiting patiently for Jen to finish with the coffees so we could ask if lunch was being served. When one minute passed, then another, we got the picture and left. We decided to mention this to the manager on-call as we still had no idea whether we could get lunch or not and nowhere else in Jabiru was serving - we'd missed lunch and were very hungry. We'd also realised that Jen was the same staff member we'd received the poor reception from earlier in our stay and concluded it wasn't a once-off experience. I'd just like to reiterate that, apart from these two incidents, all the other staff we encountered were fantastic, from the room service staff who always greeted us as we walked past, to the restaurant staff. Our experience at the hotel was really lifted by their conduct and we really appreciated it.
