The hotel was in a very dirty and run down state. Room: mould in bathroom, hundreds of black bugs in bathroom, curtains falling off their tracks, broken light bulbs, towels were so thin that we thought they would tear. Outside area: dirty, bird excrement everywhere, broken paving, dirty tables and chairs. We sat on a table outside the restaurant and asked the waitress to clean the table and even she said 'doesn't look like this table has been cleaned for ages' Restaurant: For dinner sat on a table near the stage which had many dead bugs and small food scraps on the carpet. Obviously vacuuming is not a regular thing.

Not pleasant, food was not enjoyable, bird poo everywhere and branches in court yard of palms why could not someone clean it up, had 2 guys cleaning room next to ours at 9pm with a vacuum cleaner going had to ask them to stop. Price of room was overboard prepared other remote places. Bed was only a double not queen, why would anyone have double beds.... fridge was so small when travelling we like to keep our water cool but so small..... not happy can’t think why I would recommend

Run down and expensive

Hotel is really run down! Dark room, smells damp, old bathroom. The pool and grounds are filthy with bird poo and feathers because of a flock of corellas that nest in the palm trees. We had bird poo stains on our window and curtain. We didn’t eat at hotel because was overpriced and restaurant was dark and damp. Overall the hotel is expensive for its condition. On a positive note, the reception and housekeeping staff were really friendly and helpful. The crocodile theme is fun, with a decent renovation the hotel could be great!

For the price paid, the rooms are quite basic and in need of a renovation- esp the bathrooms. The rooms could also do with a very good clean, Eg dust around the PowerPoints / behind furniture. Beds were comfortable tho.

Very run down on the out side and the rooms the dining area need a new floor it was very stained service good

Rooms were a bit dated. No lift to access second floor so heavy luggage bags had to be carried up stairs. Fan in bathroom on constantly and very noisy - unable to switch off. Meals on menu not available. Not all ordered meals arrived.

The staff at check in, bar and restaurant were great. The room needs updating especially the bathroom, mouldy in areas and needed a good scrub. The restaurant looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in days or more and the garden area full of birds poop and not well maintained.

Rooms need a facelift as they were old and tired, calcium on taps, rusted fixtures.

The hotel is fine, the rooms are big and it being shaped as a crocodile is great. But everything needs a little update or a good clean. For example the pool was always covered in bird poo or feathers and the dirty towels weren’t taken away at the end of the day.

Went to our room and found toe nail clippings on the floor which in fairness were promptly cleaned up when I rang reception. The staff where friendly and accommodating but many of them seemed to be inexperienced or poorly trained

The room I had was very very dirty. I have photographs to prove it, and showed them to reception on leaving. To be charge $189 for a room as dirty as this is disgraceful. I also have difficult dietary requirements, due to allergies, and there was nothing on the menu I could normally eat, so had to eat something I wouldn't usually. Between booking to go to the restaurant for the following night, and turning up on the night I was booked for, the booking was 'lost' even though I'd had long discussions about my diet with the staff, before booking. Apart from this the staff were very helpful in all but one case.

The staff were friendly, professional and always ready or to assist. It’s quite and meant for relaxing Room opened onto patio which then had access to pool. Pool clean and shaded a bonus for the fair skinned. Breakfast was good, kids thought hash browns would make it great.

Spent one night at the Croc Hotel with my family. The rooms were clean, food was nice and the there is a pool we could enjoy. The bathrooms are starting to look dated but we enjoyed our stay there the staff were all very accommodating

The hotel is older than it appeared in the booking photo and the crocodile format is completely lost on the viewer at ground level. That said, the inside is large, clean and cool - the reception and lounge link through a pleasant walkway where there is a wonderful aboriginal gallery of local artwork for sale, and another small retail section to browse. The midday meal fare was basic and pricey, with 2 vegetarian options. I found the pizza large enough for 2 but not very tasty. Breakfast was fabulous, with hot and cold choices of either scrambled egg, bacon etc or copious amounts of fruit and yoghurt - both help-yourself. 2 choices of juice, and there is always a self-serve coffee machine with a wide variety of teabags or tea-leaves - including green. Our room was comfortable with 2 double beds. Bathroom door latch didn't lock and the room smelled slightly mouldy - which I've come to associate with tropical accomodation - certainly more bearable than most. No overhead light, just bed-lamps. Patio door led out to a small table and chairs surrounded by shrubs with a view of the pool. I enjoyed sitting out there late at night, listening to the insects that make up all the incredible night noises you don't hear down south. I'd have to say I was disappointed when I first arrived at this hotel, but it grew on me - would stay again!

Room was perfectly positioned with direct access to the pool which was very refreshing, the meals in dinning room were so tasty with aboriginal infused flavours in the meals I had, also the art gallery was wonderful.
