Great location, good facilities. Little disappointed in the "family room" not worth the $379.00 for a night.

Our stay at Cooinda was fabulous. The only problem we had was the receptionist we questioned when we first arrived told us Jabiru was a 30 minute drive. Later when checking on Google maps we found it was more like 45 mins. She also neglected to tell us, that plane flights pilots were to be met at the reception area at a specified desk. We were left with the impression we had to drive to Jabiru.

Our stay in Cooinda Lodge could have been better. I think we just got unlucky that the lodge room that was allocated to us was just outside parking lot. The patio area is directly facing the parking lot and is next to useless as you cannot sit there else you will be eaten alive by the mosquitoes. I understand that the mosquitoes are a part of life around the area but the management could have done measures to at least reduce. At least the air-conditioning is working and there is hot water. The cleanliness of the room is okay, you can tell it hasn't been cleaned thoroughly but it is acceptable. There is no public WIFI that you can access within the common area i.e. reception, restaurant, which is pretty a basic necessity these days. Reception have no landline on offer only the free public pay phones. So basically if you got no mobile signal (which pretty much our case, note that we are on Tesltra) you will be basically off the grid. Food isn't that bad or expensive, but the limited menu. And there are no other restaurants or shop within 50km+ radius. There isn't much of anything in Jabiru either. So come prepared with snacks and drinks. For an Accor hotel, you would have expected a higher standard, but unfortunately our expectations are not met.

Extremely expensive and lodge overrated. Bathroom was not cleaned properly - hair and paper behind door. Not self contained as informed which forced us to eat out - more expense. Bed and room very comfortable and quiet.

Good experience give remote location. Food options were limited but great quality. Staff very friendly and coped well under pressure. Biggest gripe is the family room - it wasn’t clear that the third bed was a fold out. This was too short for my 14 year old teen who is only 5’4”. Bathroom floor was also dirty.
