Highly recommend the Outback Retreat safari style tents. Very comfortable, well equipped and quiet. Food and service at Mimi's great. Great location in the middle of Kakadu to explore both north & south of the park.

At this price point we expected a lot more. The most annoying part of our experience was the fact that our tent lodge was located right on the road and we had people and cars passing by late at night with some people yelling.

Comfortable rooms and well appointed. Very disappointed with dining availability. Online information said 'walk-ins only' however when we arrived at the restaurant we were informed they were fully booked. Despite this, the restaurant remained only about 30% occupied even 2 hours later.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cooinda Lodge - the room was comfortable, the pool was delightful, facilities and location were great. But what really stood out were our meals at Mimi's. Despite their remote location, the food rivaled or surpassed anything we ate in Darwin, Cairns, or even Sydney. Mimi's menu is thoughtful and creative, the dishes incorporate local ingredients, and the presentations are artful. Cocktails are classy, and the desserts are absolutely delicious. The wait staff are exceptionally courteous and professional. And as an added bonus for anyone who can't eat gluten, the menu is clearly marked and there are a lot of options!
