ibis Genève Centre Lac

We were well looked after by the staff at all times, the location was good and the room comfortable.

I had quite a few good to great experience stay at Ibis hotels in the past, however this time at Geneva was very disappointing. The air ventilation in the room was broken. We notified the reception and was told that no air conditioning is allowed during winter time by the government. We told the reception that we respect and understand no air conditioning is allowed but at least air ventilation system should be working as it worked in our friend's room (also staying at the same Ibis at the same time as us), we even showed videos how our room's didn't work and our friend's room worked. We requested for changing to another room with ventilation so we don't suffocate ourselves (not air conditioning) and was told the hotel was fully booked, and offered us a fan instead! We quickly checked the official Accor Hotel website and there was still room available, we showed the reception and he said he doesn't know why and that the computer system on his end is definitely saying the hotel is fully booked! After a lot of back and forth with the reception for at least 15 minutes, he said there's a room that he could change us to. This second room's air ventilation system worked just fine! Although eventually the second room was fine, but the experience that we had to dealt with before a proper functioning room offered to us was very disappointing and unacceptable. I hope this will be the one and only time I had a disappointing stay at an Ibis hotel. I will still book with the Accor Hotels group in the future

Great facilities, very friendly staff, efficient check in and out. Only downside was the bedroom overlooking the red-light district.

Well acomodate, well accepted , well located

This isn't the most luxurious hotel in the world BUT! It's clean, it's surprisingly comfortable, it's quiet and the staff are great. Really warm and friendly, and I think when you're traveling for work it can be lonely so hotel staff make a difference, and I appreciate the effort they make here to make me feel welcome :).
