ibis Genève Centre Lac 3 stars

Nice hotel with cozy rooms. No parking in the premises but huge parking at a 5 minutes walking distance.

I was well aware there was an convention going on and this of course attracts higher prices. But the paid price per night can just be considered as theft. The rooms are so small, there is not enough space to open up a large suitcase. The suitcase holder is too small to open a suitcase meaning it you travel with a big suitcase there is simply no space. I wouldn’t mind if it was at a standard decent Ibis rate. But this was just insane. Prices where high because of a convention. But a simple ironing board was not available for my whole stay even after asking multiple times for it at reception. How can you be welcoming business people but not having the right tools to serve them. I had to iron my shirts on the small table because i did manage to get iron machine. However this one was so bad it leaked water all over my shirts while ironing. I have had to meet very important clients so you can imagine how it feels when you arrive in a semi wet shirt with rinkels in it. I am well aware of the standards that Ibis holds and there is normally nothing wrong with it ( I usually stay at Ibis Airport). I can also imagine that conventions attract higher prices. But this was just too much for the quality given per square meter or room

Hotel team are friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable, and larger than I expected. Good breakfast!
