Great 1 night stay for the races. Lovely friendly staff, nice clean room with comfy bed. Taxi to races £9.20. Didn't have any food here but they do full buffet breakfast. Had drinks at bar when returned bit prices but the staff made this hotel and we had a win. Will definitely stay again for races

Thank-you for the fantastic review and we look forward to seeing you next time.

Stayed at the Ibis, Haydock for 1 night, hotel lovely, bright and cheerful. Room spacious, staff friendly and helpful. Beds so comfy, best sleep in a long time. Kettle in the room for tea and coffee. Ample parking, no charge. Pub next door that does food too.

Thank-you for your fantastic review, I'm delighted you found our brand new beds comfortable and enjoyed a great nights sleep, we look forward to seeing you again.

Not good value for money. Service on arrival lacking.

Got moved here as mercure haydock was over booked. Got ignored by person behind the bar when I arrived. Nobody on reception. Rooms are very very budget. The price is not what I would consider budget though. £90 a night is not good value. ........

Thank-you for taking the time to review your stay, I am sorry to read the service you received was not to our normal high standard, I will share your feedback with my team.

Mixed review.

The hotel was good and newly decorated with a good theme. However, as a small group we had a few issues. The beds were pretty hard, despite the topper on the mattress. The male lobby toilets were unclean with broken taps. The ladies were fine. The smoke alarms were taped up, assumably due to fresh paint in the rooms. We had the hotel pretty much to ourselves and asked if we could borrow a table to play a game with our children. A male staff member okayed this. A short while later, despite the place being completely empty we were asked to return it in case of a dinner rush. We felt this was an unnecessary choice (as every other table was empty) based on the circumstance by an older lady with a blonde ponytail. We returned the table as she said they needed to get it ready, the entire evening the restaurant stayed empty and they didn't even replace the cutlery. This made us feel like they just didn't want us on them. At another point, we were also asked to remove a drink of our own (completely understand this) however a large group of Irish guests on the table next to us who were using vapes inside, and drinking take away drinks were not approached. To clarify, we were not a large or loud group of adults. I felt that despite us being the only attendees, we weren't welcome in the area. As if the lack of guests meant all attention came our way. We came to relax and catch up with friends but left feeling that our presence just messed up their clean, empty lobby. Despite this, the younger staff and main receptionist were friendly. The hotel is in a good location next to amenities but we feel the other Ibis hotels we have used were more welcoming.

Fabulous hotel!

What can I say I thought the hotel was fantastic. Beautiful communal areas, well maintained and clean. Wonderful staff, you can get food there some items 24/7 if you so wish. The rooms are fantastic and I love the theme of racing, including the bedside lights which are in the shape of jockey skull caps. The towels were lovely and fluffy, the bed was so comfortable. Tea and coffee and tinned still water provided. It is close to both a pub and Asdas garage, Tescos a short walk away and brilliant transport links into town. If you have a car there is amble parking too. I had a brilliant stay, thank you I will be back 😊
