Ibis Styles Bogor Raya remains a genuinely delightful stay: relaxed, cheerful, and exceptionally well cared for. The hotel’s leafy setting creates a welcome sense of retreat from the capital, while the colourful, contemporary interiors lend an energy that feels distinctly more vibrant than a standard midscale city hotel. Service is attentive, friendly, and consistently helpful, making the overall stay effortless from arrival through departure. As a returning guest who frequently requests the smoking floor on Level 10, I have experienced a strong cross-section of the property's inventory. While Room 1001 was flawless during this visit, the hardware in other rooms requires an audit. Specifically, the mini-fridge in Room 1002 is non-functional and requires replacement (an issue carrying over from a previous stay). Furthermore, the television in Room 1005 has reached the end of its lifecycle; the internal LED backlighting is thoroughly exhausted, rendering the screen frustratingly dim despite an otherwise intact panel. A proactive sweep of in-room electronics would easily elevate the baseline guest experience. The morning breakfast spread is entirely sufficient and well-managed, though there is a missed opportunity for localized comfort. As Bogor serves as a primary weekend sanctuary for Jakartans, I strongly reiterate my long-standing request to introduce instant noodles at the live noodle station. It is a simple, highly requested comfort food that would undeniably resonate with and satisfy the domestic leisure market. One of the property’s greatest assets is its integration with the adjacent Novotel, allowing guests to cross-utilize facilities. However, communication regarding these shared amenities needs structural improvement. There is a distinct lack of published schedules for Novotel’s attractions, such as the go-karting and the mini-zoo. Information regarding the complimentary bicycles is equally opaque; guests currently have to hunt down staff to uncover the usage parameters and time limits. Clear, accessible signage or a printed schedule at the concierge would instantly solve this. Finally, the shuttle service connecting the ibis, the Novotel, and the nearby golf course requires better pacing. Because the buggies are shared with transiting golfers, families traveling with young children often face unpredictable wait times just to move between the two hotels. Dedicating a separate shuttle solely for inter-hotel guest transfers—especially during peak weekend hours—would seamlessly resolve this friction point. Despite these operational critiques, the hotel successfully strikes a balance between family-friendly vitality and weekend calm. It remains an enjoyable address for a short break, and one I continue to happily recommend to friends, colleagues, and family.
