Bigbossmama TripAdvisor review

Booked for a Luxury King but was offered an upgrade to a Junior Suite with a small charge. Interior for the room is a little dated but cleaned. Due to COVID, the minibar has nothing in it. Exterior looked a little "washed out" with a little "chalet" feel. Nespresso coffee served in the room and housekeeping has no qualms replenishing them upon request. Pool was a great draw especially for kids. They supply all sorts of interesting floats available for use. Service overall was brilliant!! Dinner at Cliff was a little pricey but everything on the menu was VERY GOOD!! Must try out the Beef Cheek !! Overall - HAPPY STAY !!

Did not meet expectations for a luxury hotel

Check in took longer than expected as we had to wait for almost an hour for rooms to be ready. Could see many guests mulling and waiting at the small lobby which is not a sight expected of a luxury hotel. Cleanliness of hotel was questionable - carpets were obviously dirty and stained. The bedding in the room was also stained. The cupboards were very dusty as was the balcony. The chairs were dirty and the garden was not well kept. The ‘garden view’ left much to be desired. Have stayed in other hotels in Sentosa that was much better kept. Breakfast - while food was good, cleanliness of tables was much to be desired. Could see many bird droppings on the tables and chairs. When we asked the waiter to change the chair, he was very unhappy to do it. Breakfast was also a long wait before we could get tables. Service of staff was also sub par, especially staff at Le Bar. Staff were not well trained and could not convey instructions clearly leading to miscommunication. Manager’s attitude was rude and disrespectful. Overall impression - waiting times need to be improved, cleanliness of hotel needs to be improved and updated, attitude of service staff needs major uplift. Food at breakfast was good.

Love the size of the room. Only downside was that the tvs in the rooms didn’t allow wifi screen sharing. Food wise, good but the scope for international buffet dinner could be bigger and not limited to just south East Asian plus salads. Bus frequency is decent but if there’s a need to go to the other spots on Sentosa, it would mean a walk out to the main road. Perhaps to consider a separate paid service to do pick up and drop offs from different parts of Sentosa.

First I was not given a room at check-in time which was supposed to be at 3pm. While I was given some drinks, the room was only ready around 5. Was supposed to be given 15% for my meal as a compensation but I think it was overlooked. In addition, I was overcharged as the staff did mot realize I was supposed to be given $60 credit per day as mentioned in the package. I cannot accept the fact my room had a spoilt TV. Despite calling n asking the front desk, no one came n offered any solution nor bothered about it. This is really not what I m expecting from a 4-5 star hotel. I m there with 2 very young kids so imagine having to wait more than 2 hours for a room, no TV and long waiting time just to talk to the receptionist, is really disappointing.
