We loved the room and bathroom. Everything felt very luxurious and comfortable. Pool was really nice and great location to go out on Sentosa. My only complaint was that the service in the restaurant was very slow, there was not enough staff.

Firstly check in took a Long time and was told that room was not ready. The room, a junior suite was located the furthest from the main lobby. The aircon did not work at night. The restaurant “the cliff” service was terrible. We had to wait for 30mins before someone took our order, that is after shouting at one of the waiters. Many other people were facing the same issue. In fact one couple left without having their dinner. Breakfast was also the same issue. Having to wait a Long time before someone took your order. Overall a pricey, overrated staycation at a terrible hotel.

Hello there, I am an Accor member 308103 2 … 1 and I recently stayed at the Sofitel Sentosa Singapore on October 13th in room 341. I also have another booking there for December 20-22nd. I would like to provide the hotel with some feedback on my recent stay. This recent visit was the 4th time my family have stayed at the Sofitel Sentosa over the last few years. Our visit to your hotel was both pleasing and disappointing. Before checking in, I rang 67… on the 29/9 twice, once on 30/9, once on 2/10 and finally on 5/10. On all 5 phone calls, no one answered the call and it rang out. I then emailed the hotel through h9… but got no reply. I wanted to find out about the pool booking procedure. Our check-in was great and the receptionist was very professional and helpful. He was very attentive. Our biggest concerns was with the cleanliest of the main swimming pool. The water was quite dirty and there was a lot of white silcone/paint on the bottom of the pool. It was not like that on our last visit. On checking in to the pool, we were also only given 1 towel for a family of 4 and told that was all there was. In the room, my wife found a live cockroach running around in the bathroom. I had to put the rubbish bin over the floor drain cover to stop other cockroaches from coming up. Finally, we had dinner at The Cliff which was very disappointing considering it cost $283. The portions of the pasta were very small. My 10 year old had the adult spaghetti and was still hungry afterwards and needed a margarita pizza to fill him up. The side potato dish at $12 was just 3 potatoes sliced in half with a bit of Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. My rib eye steak came to the table cold. After dinner, I presented my member's welcome drink card to The Bar and told that I would have to pay for a Hot Chocolate Drink $10 which does not match what is stipulated on the welcome drink card. So, all in all, we were disappointed with our stay and my wife has questioned whether we should still return with our booking for December 20-22nd. Thanks, Andy H.

My wife is 37 weeks pregnant. I had called earlier to confirm that pre-natal massages are possible. When I arrived, I was told by the receptionist (she seems new) that it was not allowed and asked my wife to consider a facial instead. I was highly disappointed because I had called to check before hand. But when we met with the masseuse, she told that it was possible to get a pre-natal massage. The masseuse was great, by the way. I am utterly disappointed by the lack of professionalism and training of the receptionist. Although my wife got her massage and enjoyed it, but I was unhappy by the whole episode and was unable to enjoy my massage. I doubt that you are reading this comment but I am sending this to you anyway.

A wonderful stay. Perfect location. Loved the villa and the pool. If only the weather cooperated.... Only improvement needed... In this season of Covid situation, the precautions set up by the hotel like online booking and pre-arrival registration forms were seemingly ideal. However, the execution of the procedures could have been done better. Under the online booking, we were asked to choose a checking in time slot (for social distancing measures?) However, as of the day of check-in, we were not given any confirmation as to whether the time slot of the check in was confirmed. So we called the hotel that morning to check if we should come in at that time slot for check-in. We were told yes, we may. When we arrived at the hotel, we realised that the villa was not ready and that the usual check in time was at 3pm and were told to wait. Question is what is the point of arranging for different time slots of check-ins when the rooms are not ready till 3 pm and guests are asked to hang around until the rooms are ready?

We specifically chose the Sofitel Sentosa for a staycation to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary based on previous occasions dining there as we had experienced both excellent service and fabulous cuisine. This experience was the polar opposite - the service was non existent and the food was sub standard - we could order better meals at a hawker centre. The meals served are an embarrassment to the Sofitel brand and the poor service was just in excusable. I am actually reluctant to take the time to even write this review as I feel I have already invested enough time in a wasted experience.

Lovely stay. We had most of our meals in room, customer service was great. We had the full board package inclusive of all 3 meals a day. We love SoSpa with all the additional facilities provided and a place to relax and chill by the poolside. Way more peaceful than the main pool and would recommend any couple to spend more time here.

The stay was great. 2 areas to highlight mainly. Stay: Right from the moment we arrived, the service of the accommodation, check-in staff was excellent. I was served by Daneal who was extremely patient and helpful with me, having to carry my infant son while checking-in. He did his best to help with every request I had and always carried an attitude that made you feel like you were checking into a 5-star resort hotel. Ryan was also extremely helpful, always ready to help and offer explanations to assist with whatever I needed. However, when I asked for an additional Nespresso capsules the first time, One-Touch did say they would convey the message but I never got them. Dining: I was quite disappointed with dining. I have stayed at Sofitel Sentosa before and I did not recall the service staff standard to be what I experienced. It may have been that with the new social distancing measures the staff had to handle more but I believe in keeping with a level of a 5-star resort, it could have been slightly better. Especially so for guests who have young children. Below are some examples. I attempted to have my welcome drink and some food with my family at Le Bar one afternoon. I walked up, did my safe entry and measured my temperature. I stood at the entrance waiting to be attended to. The staff was at the bar going about her chores. I waited. I tried to get her attention and after some tries, she stopped what she was doing, came around and asked what I needed. I said I wanted to have my welcome drink and some food. She asked how many people I had and I said 4. She replied, "we do not have a table for 4, sorry", turned around and walked away, leaving me standing there. I had to walk over, attempt to get her attention again and asked what my alternatives were and only then she said I could try the Cliff. At the Cliff, we were seated, I asked for 2 baby chairs for my children. The response I got was "sorry we currently do not have any baby chairs" and the staff walked away, leaving us standing at our table, not knowing what to do. My youngest is not able to sit on an adult chair (11 month old). Shortly, we did get the baby chairs and when we sat down and ordered. After we were served our pizza, there was nothing more, no cutlery, no baby cutlery, nothing. In a normal run-of-the-mill restaurant, I'd gladly take it upon myself to ask for everything I need and not assume but for a restaurant in a 5-star resort, I was expecting a little bit more attention, especially when it was mid day and not peak crowd. At Kwee Zeen, we had breakfast. This feedback is a personal opinion and is without any knowledge of costs and profit margins for the restaurant so if I am unaware of something please do correct me. At Sofitel Tanjong Pagar, breakfast is ala carte buffet at the same price of the highest priced American Breakfast. Granted, the American Breakfast serving is indeed generous, but I question the difference in standard between the 2 restaurants, given that Raccines is a speciality French kitchen run by an established chef. Further, in the American breakfast, the option was given for us to have museli with milk, low fat milk or soy and the wait staff always said that it was pre-made and we did not have a choice. If there was no option, either the menu should change or we should be allowed to choose without having been told that we are imposing by deciding to want anything but what is pre-made. A minor point for Accor Plus members who get 50% off for 2 adults, there are many minor terms and conditions that we, till today are not aware of when it comes to dining. For example, marketing always tell you you get up to 50% and to our horror when we bring a third person along or when we eat alone we get a lower discount. Imagine my shock when I ordered one American set to share with my wife as we weren't that hungry, only to be charged 25% discount instead of 50% without anyone explaining to me the difference. All I needed to do was to order another set to enjoy the 50% discount. While these terms may be stated clearly in the long wordy membership terms, it would be worth noting that the Accor Plus membership is about loyalty to the Accor Group and many of the customers return due to the perks the membership brings. It would be good for staff to be aware of this and anticipate the customers' intent when ordering, even if the customer eventually turns down the higher discount and opts to pay more. I do not typically bother with writing lengthy reviews as it takes time. However, much of my dining and holiday destinations invariably ends up in an Accor Group hotel, whether locally or overseas. This is why I decided to pen down my honest feedback. I hope that have not passed off as an overly entitled Singaporean guest. It does seem that when people pay a premium for a certain slightly up-market experience, there are certain boxes that need to be checked. I am still very pleased with my overall stay and look forward to visiting this resort and the other resorts in other countries when travel resumes. I booked through MOE promo and certainly did not regret the decision. The dining at the Cliff was a pleasant experience. We had our dinner on 12 Oct, 830pm and the staff was extremely courteous, keep checking if food was alright. The service at the Recept was good too.

First, i visited the hotel and have room inspection as i wanted to do post-proposal at Sofitel. I wanted to get the suite but the person in charge delayed and when i chased for confirmation, the room was out of availability. Luckily i can take other type of suite and carry on my plan. I arranged florist and needed at yacht, not at hotel but someone put the flower inside the room, kind of ruined the surprise for my fiance. Besides, there's no helps when i reached lobby and i need to carry all the luggages myself from the car. Then, i done the pre-check in but still when i reached the lobby i need to wait like 10 minutes before being entertain, which i really thought the pre-check in will speed up the check in process as 10 minutes is typical check in (without pre-check-in) for me; I'm not sure your standard.

Good size resort, beautiful landscape, well kept. Overall experience needs improvement. Service is 2/5 for a five star resort. There is no information on the room going around the resort. No welcome pack, food was mediocre, breakfast was good. Accor group you can do better.

Great stay and good ambience. Swimming Pool had a weird sour taste. Check in staff not friendly caused when I feedback that Jenny will be replacing the desert that was missing from my collected Father’s Day takeaway package when I check in for my hotel stay. I was told that there are a few Jenny and thus unable to honor it. Rather disappointing to get this reply.

Property falling apart and food dismal

Unfortunately we had a less than satisfactory experience. The food at breakfast and The Cliff was really lacklustre. Breakfast was anaemic, India breakfast was a tasteless pot of dhal and the healthy breakfast was healthy as there wasn't anything to it - so bad that we didnt bother going on the second day. Service in The Cliff was terrible, one minute they were out of broccolini and after waiting for 20 mins they suddenly had it back on the menu. And apparently there were no green vegetables in the hotel!! The pasta was tasteless and overcooked, I can cook better at home. The whole property needs renovating - I nearly lost my foot in the spa on the broken wooden floor boards and the toilets by the pool were horrific. Design is a total mish mash of the old Beaufort indo chic with dreadful sparkly, chandeliers, sparkly rugs and fake flamingos jutted throughout.
