A Masterclass in How to Ruin a Weekend: If you have an enemy, book them a stay here. This was, without contest, the absolute worst "luxury" hotel experience of my life. I have stayed in budget Ibis hotels that understood hospitality better than Sofitel Sentosa. Check-in: 1/10. Purely transactional. No warmth, no "welcome," just a demand for ID and a credit card. I wasn't even told where to get my welcome drink; I literally had to Google it myself standing in the lobby. The Room: 7/10. To be fair, the room was comfortable and the bed was great. It’s an old property, but the room condition was acceptable. F&B: • Kwee Zeen: The only spot with decent staff. Food was average, but at least they were polite. • LeBar: A disaster. We ordered three drinks; two were wrong. I also had the distinct displeasure of tasting the worst Negroni of my life here. The Nightmare at The Cliff (Starring Alson): I was looking forward to dinner at The Cliff to salvage the trip. I was wrong. The food was okay, but the service sent the evening straight to hell. I need to give a special shout-out to Alson, who appears to be your MVP for destroying guest relations. When the bill arrived, I informed the staff I was an Accor member. Alson returned with the exact same bill. When I politely pointed out the discount wasn't applied, he stared at me and in the most condescending tone imaginable and said, "How would I know you're an Accor member?" I was stunned into silence. He then raised his voice and ordered me to write down my membership number. If Sofitel’s goal is to humiliate guests, keep Alson on the floor. He is a superstar at dragging your brand reputation into the dirt. The Birthday "Surprise": My actual birthday fell during this stay. I’m not a cheapskate looking for free cake, but usually, luxury hotels connect the dots and offer a simple greeting. Here? Nothing. Just cold silence. It’s the perfect example of their complete lack of attention to detail. The Only Saving Grace: I want to say a genuine thank you to Rey, the F&B Operations Manager. He actually came out to the lobby while we were waiting for our ride to personally apologize and attempt a service recovery. While the experience was too broken to be fixed, Rey is a true hospitality role model who tried his best to clean up the mess his team (specifically Alson) created. Verdict: I will never return. If you want cold hospitality, a ruined birthday, and to be shouted at by waitstaff, Sofitel Sentosa is the place for you.

Late check out was just 30mins additional and there is no birthday celebration and hotel was not as memorable as Fairmont hotel.

Room 536 The tv turned on by itself twice The lights turned on once Haunted? Not sure The common areas are not well lit. Fell down near the foyer and injured my arm and back. Really expect more from Sofitel

My wife, our 2 granddaughters and I have a wonderful stayed for our 40th anniversary celebration from 12-17 December. Have been staying and dine here more than 30th years. The management and ambassadors have carried out utmost and fantastic caring, warmth and services. No words can express our gratitude. Highly recommended the resort for all.
