Great location, comfortable beds, gluten free options at all venues. Excellent service by staff, particularly Kamal and Peter and the head chef at The Cliffs who prepared the most delicious gluten free meal. The pool staff are very attentive with towels and drinks. Amazing resort, will definitely come back!!

Had an opportunity to stay over during the F1 weekend. Check in took a bit more time due to the crowd but was well managed. Room was great with standard amenities provided. Breakfast at kwee zeen restaurant was awesome! Attended to by Farah and Janet from the start. Thank you for the warm hospitality! Despite a busy morning, they don't forget to check in on the guests who are seated, myself included.

Sofitel, one of the best hotels, no matter which city I go.

I been to Sofitel in 3 different countries so far, and their service is absolutely impeccable. I love everything about sofitel. Rooms are nice, comfy and cozy. Stuff is always polite and welcoming. Breakfasts are the best quality with full of choice. Big thanx to Farah who served me at the breakfast and all the other stuff in the kitchen.

Place was very serene. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Lots of amenities, enjoyed the 24/7 Fish SPA & the steam bath. The staff at the swimming pool Marcus & Eidil were wonderful we had a great chat, let me know the heritage of the resort and the upcoming 2nd Raffles Hotel which is on going construction ATM. Marcus took the initiative to help me and my family took plenty of group photos from different angles and poses, lastly he surprised us with 3 free printed photos. Fabulous service! Definitely will visit again.

The resort is beautiful with a relaxing ambiance and the rooms are clean and well appointed. The Cliff and Le Bar especially, have good food and ambiance. I’ve been here several times before, and I was disappointed to see that the service still is as poor as ever… -if not worse. I’m glad I arrived with low expectations and the ability to laugh most of it off, but it’s such a shame. Examples include: Trying to over-charge me for the stay, both upon check-in, and again upon check-out (which took a really long time to sort out both times…) Fumigating the lobby(!) without closing the doors to the reception (felt like throwing up during check-in). Not giving room upgrade for gold member until I complained about construction noise, then suddenly a jr suite was available. “Late check-out” is max 1 hr. Evening turn-down service only on first evening, but not on the remaining evenings. Restaurant staff are well-meaning, but pretty clueless, and service was sometimes very slow. My son lost a couple of items, one in a restaurant because the staff admitted to having seated a new family at our table without keeping my son’s toy for us (I guess the new family thought it was a freebie) and one at the pool because the staff had hung his goggles on the “free-for-all rack” instead of the lost&found. Everything mentioned are small annoyances, but added up, they unfortunately tell a story of a resort that could easily be so much better with better staff training and policies.
