Despite trying to raise these issues whilst staying at the hotel to avoid a bad review, we had no response at all. Disgusting customer service. I know they respond to emails as they had emailed straight back last week in the days before we arrived. At this point I have emailed twice and tried to speak direct. The bathroom door was so heavy and stuck it took two of us to operate it (to slide the door open) Shower- not fit for purpose I could not wash my hair whilst there as it was too hot or too cold therefore we couldn’t enjoy it. No heating in the room, we had to get an oil filled radiator in to help. Privledge room, no restock of drinks in the fridge and no newspaper at all like it specified. Stained towels, the list could go on. To say we stay at mercures regularly we would have hoped to have this resolved during our stay. We knew a room move couldn’t happen on the Friday as the hotel was at capacity, having raised our concerns on the Saturday morning, to still have no reply is appalling customer service.

Before my current role as a civil servant I previously worked for the Accor group as a HOD for many years and prior to this a 5* in London. So I don’t take making these comments lightly. But where do I start …. Room- Awful internet service, keeps dropping out constantly. Impossible to work in rooms due to this. Even your own phone provider struggled to work. Room was cold, called reception and left message. Never heard back, had to go to reception and get a heater brought up. Went to have a bath but no water came out. Asked at reception and member of staff came up. Said it’s not working and need to fill it from shower head!!! Pillowcase not changed during my three day stay and question if sheet or cover was. Had dinner 14/02 -club sandwich had clearly been pre prepared and come straight out of fridge so was sent back. £15 was disgusting price as it was just a normal cold flat sandwich not even a garnish. Service was awful, only one person in bar and restaurant who had clearly not been trained correctly. Brought my main out when rest of table was eating their starters. Staff look scruffy with dirty uniforms across departments. The ONLY good thing was staff at breakfast and the food was hot including pastries. Good selection of pastries. Fried egg my colleague had had a hair on it. Since when did staff in food service start being allowed to have their hair down ?? As they all did. egg was taken to staff to show them.. to our shock he scooped it off her plate where the rest of her food was with his hand.. Unbelievable!! I won’t be staying in a ACCOR hotel again as standards have clearly declined massively.!!!!

Bed to short, Room to warm, and couldnt cool it down although I changed the airco Breakfast, cupboards where wet also some plates wheren't clean

Avoid at all cost. Stinks of acrid foul smell, reception useless , food rubbish , look warm the best I can describe.rooms are disgusting, mould, stinking of back toilet ,beds god uncomfortable, shower doors hanging off walls. Flooding carpets that stink already. Avoid use your money elsewhere not worth a spittoon this place is.
