Friendly staff very polite, checking in and out was smooth. Breakfast was good, beds are clean and also the bathroom and the living room. But the carpet was having some dirt colors on it but no smell. Swimming Pool was great but cold water no heater.

The carpet was horribly stained and just felt gross to walk on. The couch was infested with bed bugs. (we figured this out after checkout due to bed bug bites) Housekeeping did not turn over our room during our two night stay. The breakfast was old and reused our entire stay. Hotel is a premium rate and did not come close to premium quality. They did provide us with a late check-out free of charge.

Firstly, I am a business traveler and I travel to Yanbu for business needs. There was a wedding going on at the hotel banquet hall (moody hall). I couldn't sleep the whole night because there were people shouting, kids crying and yelling in the room beside me (room number 115). My colleague (Room #114) who traveled with me has the same experience and he couldn't sleep until the next morning. Now let's see the next scenario. I forgot one of my mobile phone charger heads in the room. I called the customer care because one of my colleagues is staying in Novotel when I called him. He said he would call me after checking and he never called back. Apart from the old stained bathroom wash basins and old aged furniture, its been quite a compromise. Oh! I need to mention this particular incident before I stop. Last time I stayed in Novotel, I had a great experience. After a long 400 km journey, i reached the hotel, checked in, went straight to the room and found the room key wasn't working. I went all the way down to the reception and explained the situation to the receptionist. He came in to a conclusion that the key wasn't working because I kept it with the mobile. He programed the key again and I went back again. I found it wasn't working! Now I went back to the reception again explained the situation, he looked clueless and he was busy. So I myself went and explained the situation to one of the staffs who looked like a room service guy. He understood the situation and said its the battery of the device. I might have ran out. Brilliant guy. I went and told it to the receptionist. He called the maintenance department and after 15 minutes the maintenance guy appeared and it took another 10 minutes to fix this. Its the first time I'm experiencing an incident like this in my life. Either ways, after these incidents I have decided to stop staying in Novotel and my colleagues as well. I will send an official email to our HR department to deal with this and make a contract with a better hotel like Holiday inn or Radisson Blue. I hope you will take this mail positively and take notes of it so that you wont lose more customers in the future. Thank you.

I have checked online 3 hrs prior the arrival to have my room ready, asked for a good view but the receptionist said only one room available with no view! I accepted it, but to find the toilet uncleaned is not acceptable at all, the toilet was dirty with urine on it !!! the sink was dirty and stained, bath room wasn't clean like someonejust taken a shower, even they didn't change the bedsheet. I called the reception many times but no answer so I had to go down to ask for a solution, I informed the receptionist with the situation and that I'm not happy with that room and want to change it, the answer was no rooms available they all complete just go back and we will send the room service. Waited more than quarter an hour then called them back told them no one had come ! finally 5 min later a gentleman with a tie came and asked for the problem, I showed him the toilet with urine on it, he pulled a tissue,  wiped the toilet, then flushed the tissue and said it's done !!!! I was in shock from his behaviour, I asked him for room service to clean the room, he told me they all busy cleaning rooms the will bypass after a while !! I went down again asking for check out and a refund, the receptionist leader told me he will move me to another room, how come he offers me a room that wasn't available upon request. I had to leave the hotel sad and unhappy, my family was with me tired after a long drive to the hotel for a vacation, really not happy even after the call from the management telling me unacceptable excuses.

It was a good experience. Staff were friendly and supportive. Location was good. Room service and restaurant and housekeeping were also good. Selections of tv channels were poor.

Check in was fast and hassle free. Restaurant staff happily provided ice for no charge and front desk quickly granted us a late checkout at no charge which was appreciated. Climate in the room was cold and humid and adjusting the controls had little affect. Window hardware was disconnected in the room and small metal screws have been added to prevent opening the window to warm up or dry out the room. Securing the windows in this fashion could also pose a hazard in case of fire.

Spots in the sofa. Bed reading lights & outlet were not working. Fiber cable not covered well. Gap in the room door, which I heard all discussion in the corridor, which also not achieve the acoustic needed as well as against the Fire Strategy Standard. Drilling works close to my room at midnight. I kink in the elevator threshold, due to big difference level between elevator & finishing floor level, which is against Hotel & safety standard Worst Breakfast ever , and food in the boxes have bad smell. Light in the bathroom was little bit darkness due to the central light was not working. Drainage in the shower area was not work properly, which lead the water flow to the whole bathroom, which also not meet the drainage flow test.

Receptionist Abdullah was very welcoming. The room space was good. It was so quite in the room. Room service was speedy too. View was great. Food was good. Shielded car parking was few, and we were evicted the fourth day despite a week-long reservation. The reason for the eviction was a public office has reserved the whole hotel but that shouldn’t be the guest problem. It was disrespectful and at least an apology letter would somehow have made up the inconvenient.

Novotel is always a nice hotel to stay at. If you're looking for the services you would get at a luxury hotel and you are not interested in the fancy stuff. Then this is the place for you in Yanbu. The services are good, food is fine, rooms are spacious, and it's not too expensive. My only remark is that they use the leftovers from the dinner buffet at the breakfast buffet the next day (they would still taste fine though)
