I did find cockroaches in my room and in washroom, the breakfast was below average.

Sad that I was not able to check in accessible as per my special request made more than 2 weeks before my stay. During my check-in day, your lift lobby was extremely rowdy & chaotic, some guest were pushing me around when I was checking in at your reception counter.

We understand how important it was for you to have an accessible room, especially when travelling with a person with disability (PWD). Not being able to secure the requested accessible room despite making the request more than two weeks in advance is understandably disappointing. Your feedback regarding the narrow walkway and difficulty for wheelchair access and shower use has been taken seriously and shared with our management team for review and improvement. We also acknowledge your comments about the chaotic situation at the lift lobby and reception area during check-in. Your suggestion to better manage group check-ins separately from individual guests is valuable and will be considered as we review our crowd management and guest flow procedures. At the same time, we appreciate your recognition of our staff who assisted with your towel request despite the challenging situation. The Rooms are not designed properly and has not made of space. The toilet is weird with the wash basin directly in the room and no separation. The lobby is cramped up. The Breakfast Buffet was ok and the staff was friendly.

Our rooms are designed in line with standard Singapore sizing and feature a unique layout concept, which may feel unconventional to some guests. While our hotel is located slightly away from the city centre, we do offer a complimentary one-way shuttle service daily at 11:00 a.m. to Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ Mall), as well as shuttle services to Tai Seng, Mattar, and Woodleigh MRT stations at minimal charges, to help make travelling more convenient. Overall, ibis Styles Singapore MacPherson delivers a pleasant stay with excellent service, though the rooms could benefit from a refresh. Like many reviews online mention, the hotel is known for its friendly staff, clean environment and lively restaurant and I can agree with that. Upon check-in, I noticed that the sheer blind in my original room was not functioning properly. I immediately informed the receptionist and to their credit, they promptly arranged a room change. The replacement room was an intermediate, slightly smaller room but everything was in working order, which I appreciated functionality matters more to me. One personal observation: the room colour theme feels very youthful with strong orange and red tones. It might appeal to younger guests but I personally found it a bit unusual and slightly overwhelming for a hotel room. The highlight of my stay was definitely Level 4’s Chat & Chow restaurant. It’s consistently busy which speaks volumes. The staff there are fantastic, helpful, friendly and approachable. What impressed me most is that both the morning and evening teams maintain the same positive attitude despite being different staff members. Well done to the team. This is honestly the main reason I’m giving a 4-star rating. Location-wise, it’s acceptable but requires some walking. You’ll need to walk to Mattar MRT (Downtown Line) or take a bus to Aljunied MRT (East-West Line). It’s suitable for guests who don’t mind walking or using buses. The gym is small but the equipment is adequate for a basic workout and well maintained. The pool is also on the smaller side especially noticeable when many guests are using it at the same time. As an Accor member, I do feel that Accor Group should consider refurbishing the rooms soon to keep up with the expectations of loyal members and to match the strong service standards provided by the staff. Final verdict: Great service, excellent restaurant team, and decent facilities but room upgrades would elevate the overall experience significantly.
