Clean room , nice accomodation however lack of good customer servise . You never felt that you are a guest , it just like nothing. You treated us like we cannot afford to pay because we wear simple clothes. I travelled overseas many times from different country, ridiculous on my own country We treated like not nice 🤨😉

Never again

Stephen H TripAdvisor review

This place is completely run down and neglected - we have stayed here at least half a dozen times when our children were small and it was both sad and shocking to see how badly it has been let go. The staff are awful - so disinterested and treat you as though you are invisible -- apparently the computer screen is far more important and interesting than the customer and she was clearly not doing any work on it! On check in we were told that breakfast was an additional cost - thank heaven I had printed out my receipt stating that the room rate included the breakfast - even then she behaved like she was doing me some kind of favour by letting us have it!! Nothing looked particularly clean in the breakfast room either. The rooms are quite grubby and once you turn on the lighting bugs descend on you from everywhere! This used to be a popular place to stay but there were many, many empty rooms on a Saturday night - surrounds are covered in weeds and overgrown We have had some good memories of this place in the past but this was not one of them and we won't be returning - THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Dear Stephen, I sincerely apologize for the poor experience you have had with your recent stay. We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations are not met, and especially as a long term loyal customer. We are committed to providing our customers with the best experience possible, and clearly, we have fallen short in this instance. Please be assured, we have spoken about your feedback with our team and what went wrong. Once again, I am sorry for this recent experience and hope for the opportunity to make it right in the future. Please contact me via the hotel should you wish to stay again in the future and I will personally take care of the arrangements to ensure a better expereince. Thank you for your feedback. Best regards, Gavin Hocking Regional General Manager

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place wasn't in great condition. The curtains were moth-eaten, the roof was infested with tiny light-bugs, the table and mirror were covered with dust and filth. I was staying in a dormitory on school camp, so we had bunk beds. Every time I sat up, I hit my head on the top bunk (and I'm pretty short for my age). On the last day we stayed, the room was full of Christmas beetles. The duvet and pillows were surprisingly soft, though. Room service was lousy. The food was good, with breakfast's exception. The campsite was extremely difficult to navigate around.

Hi annil500, Thanks for taking the time to write your review, we have a lot of school groups stay with us and appreciate both your feedback and their business. Cleanliness is taken seriously, and I apologize you experienced issues, it's not the level we would expect. I do hope you otherwise enjoyed you trip to Canberra. Kind Regards, Gavin Hocking Regional General Manager

Unlovely and unloved.

We stayed for two nights. The Motel: The first impression of this motel isn’t a good one, it looks very neglected from the outside although inside, the common areas are clean. The staff were as helpful as they had to be , but apathetic with it. The breakfast was ok. The room: crisp clean bedding, however the carpet and the sofa were very dirty, I only felt comfortable sitting on it once covered with a blanket. In room facilities: There was a sign above the tap saying the water needed to be boiled before drinking, but no bottled water was provided. Only instant coffee. The room had one single power socket nowhere near the bed. The fridge in the room was noisier than my parents’ 30 year old beer fridge, resulting in two very disturbed nights. The bathroom: The extractor fan in the bathroom was ridiculously loud. There was a smell of raw sewage from the drain in the bathroom. My partner had to kneel down in the shower to wash his hair. Low point: When I was looking at my phone in the dark I had the delightful experience of a large cockroach scurrying across my screen.

Dear Louise, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I do apologize it was not better, we have failed to provide the experience both you and we would have expected. I have shared your cleanliness issues with the housekeeping team and we are actively working to ensure higher standards. With regards to the water Ibis Styles Eaglehawk is a self sufficient property we are not connected to town water or waste water. The signs to boil the water are precautionary as we use bore water and while it is treated some people feel more comfortable boiling it prior. There are free water refill stations in the main complex as well. Thank you again, and we do hope to see you in the future. Kind Regards, Gavin Hocking Regional General Manager

Avoid at ALL costs!

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Stayed here with the family for a night and thank god we didn’t stay longer. The guy on the front desk was so incredibly rude and unhelpful. It took ages to find the room after being given the wrong directions. We ordered take away to be told that it can’t be delivered to the room and we would have to walk the long distance to get the food. The food was absolutely inedible and a complete waste of money. The uncleanliness of the room was almost vomit inducing. The bathroom, including the back and under the toilet, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The sheets were dirty and we slept on top of the beds. The windows were filthy. Everything about this “hotel/motel” is abhorrent. Avoid at all costs!
