Brilliant weekend in Liverpool

How could one possibly have a great weekend in Liverpool in the middle of January? We did and it wasn't difficult with the Pullman as our base. The hotel is surrounded by the most interesting set of restaurants, museums, bars and places of interest all with the Mersey as their backdrop. The hotel was fantastic-from the first moment we walked through the front door and were greeted by Katie at the front desk, to the service in the restaurants, the room cleaning staff-they were all friendly and helpful without exception.

Good but could be better

The room was very clean with the exception of the coffee/tea tray. And even after we remarked on this not a lot happened until we complained again. The cleaner let the hotel down. Plus, the room temperature was like the inside of a freezer. We had to request two oil heaters to raise the temperature to anything like habitable. But - the service from Becky Hird in Guest Services and Taylon on reception was superb. We wish them to be recognised.

Brilliant stay in a great hotel. Brilliant service. Very nice clean comfortable rooms that are well equipped and very quiet and comfy. Great bar and great location. Would highly recommend a stay here and look forward to our next visit.

Terrible stay

Booked for Boxing Day a month in advance in a executive premium room. £250 for one night half board that included three course meal and breakfast along with the room. Arrived at 3pm to be told the restaurant opens at 5pm for dinner. Stayed in the same room in October and this time the tv didn’t work properly and the Bose music system didn’t work at all. The free mini bar wasn’t as stocked as last time and the whole room had a stale smell including the towels. Was going to speak to the receptionist about all this when we had dinner but didn’t get to that point as when we went down at 6pm we was told the restaurant is closed. We explained we had already pre paid for two three course meals and it was confirmed on arrival and told the restaurant opened at 5pm. The staff disappeared for 15 mins to come back and state the chef said no chance, bar snacks only. We asked for manager as the bar snacks consisted of frozen pizza or sandwich. Far cry from a three course meal. The manager refused any compensation and only offered the money back from the meals we paid. As they where an offer at the time that wasn’t much. We explained that it would be impossible to book a table at a restaurant in Boxing Day at 6.30pm, but still nothing was done. We also stated that we should not have to cover the costs of taxis and further restaurant costs when this was the hotels fault. I said that we should have been informed the hotel had made this decision with the restaurant through cancellations in the hotel, but the manager denied this was the case yet other people where angry as they had booked the same as us and I went online and I could still book a room at that hotel with a three course meal for that very same day. The manager offered a refund which we had no choice but to accept as we would have starved otherwise. We had traveled two hours for a night out around Liverpool, lost money on pre booked bars we had booked, lost money of fuel, and ruined my Christmas gift to my wife.

Recently stayed here there was a pair of pants and socks left in the wardrobe we told reception who said the would send house keeping we didn’t get back till after mid night and they were still there not very good really with the current circumstances were in

A good one-night stay at this comfortable hotel. Friendly welcome at Reception on arrival. A pleasant room with a good view of the waterfront. We ate the two-course festive dinner, which was fine...a cracking Christmas pudding. Our waiter Zach was a charming host; he looked after us very well, thank you.

I stayed at the Liverpool Pullman for the night of October 30th, 2021 in order to attend a concert at the M&S Bank Arena. The hotel was extremely convnient for the area, the Albert Dock, museums, and Liverpool 1. The online check in system worked well, and the room was comfortable, with an excellent bathroom with monsoon shower. It was the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in with no external noise filtering in. There were stains on the carpet, but the overall cleainliness was very good. Overall a comfortable stay in a very convenient location.

Firstly given an already occupied room!!! Heard the shower on when we entered the room on personal items on show. Was told it was a computer error which wasn’t updated.Then whilst in the restaurant ordered 2 burgers and 1 was dropped so my husband had to wait 20 mins whilst I ate mine. Apologies given but no offer of a drink or anything just saying about being understaffed. Our second visit in a month and for a premium price would expect better. Left very disappointed.

OK hotel. Really poor mobile phone coverage and exceptionally poor wifi. This is a big hinder to any business stay and i would have thought that the hotel would have done something about it. other than agreeing that its not very good.

Excellent stay again

Stayed two nights and had a really good experience. Had checked in online so room key was immediately available. Room was good with comfortable bed and good heating when required. Bathroom was large with really good shower and a bath which we did not use. The breakfast was, as usual, excellent ,with good choice and good quality food. We stayed on a half board deal (usually stay b&b) and while the food served was very good, cooked and served well, the menu was the same both nights and there was limited choice. We stayed at the Pullman the first week it opened and have returned many times since and there is no reason why we would not come back again.

We had a great 2 night break here in Nov 21. Conveniently located for all opportunities in the City. Staff very friendly and always prepared to go over and above expectations. The breakfast was superb on both occasions and set us up for the day. Some fantastic views from all floors.

Excellent hotel, regular visits every year, staff are first class, very clean and breakfast choice first class. Located at the docks, great night life nearby, daytime attractions, and only 10 minute walk to the best bars and restaurants.

The Pullman Liverpool is well located within easy walking distance of all amenities.Car parking is right next to the hotel with special rates for hotel residents.Our executive room was spacious, comfortable and clean.Breakfast was excellent.Staff friendly and efficient.

I I have on several occasions stayed at the Pullman Hotel and have always enjoyed the experience. Facilities are good and the choice of breakfast is excellent. It is also within easy walking distance of the city centre and its shops, as well as the waterfront and the Albert Dock complex. I always stay at the Pullman when visiting family in the city.

Amazing room, lovely breakfast with lots of choice and great service. Staff were helpful and check in and out were quick and easy. The hotel was fully Covid 19 compliant. Fully enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

As always, the Pullman delivers on Cleanliness, Practicality and Efficiency. The staff were friendly and obliging. Many fellow guests were apparently unaware that we are still in a pandemic and the spirit of covid19 countermeasures was sadly lacking. The Hotel needs to be stricter in it’s regulation of Covid 19 measures. Breakfast Buffet was somewhat less than inspiring and lots of popular items were not promptly filled up.

Great place to stay when visiting Liverpool

This was our first stay in an hotel since the pandemic and we were reassured as the Pullman was spotlessley clean. It was our first visit to Liverpool so the view from our room out over the river was amazing. All the staff we met were exceptionaly friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous - right on the water front and a short walk to the centre

3 night trip

Check in was bad, arrived at 12:45 to be told was 14:00 which was fair enough. Arrived back after 1615 to see long queue for check in. Receptionists were heroic due to many late checkouts & lack of house cleaning staff. Even though at 1245 we saw at least 3 - 4 parties coming out of the lift to check out. Hotel can be very busy with a conference on & also for cruise ship drop offs.
