Nice place after 16 hours of air travel !!!!

What a great place to stay in Edinburgh. The Knot recommended this site and several others for ease of attending a wedding at the Royal Physician’s College. I use a cane for irregular terrain (such as cobblestones and stairs). This lovely hotel was within 3 minutes walk to the wedding venue. Lovely and quirky decor. LOVED their sumptuous breakfasts ( I do wish I had tried the Haggis for a change but eggs looked so tasty). Some nice entertainment on the weekend and it is close to places like The Dome for afternoon tea. Ilaria gave me good advice for bus transport to the National Museum of Scotland and my sister-in-law booked us a van for an Outlander tour (awesome). I did not do Mary’s King tour which sounded really interesting or a ghost tour because we had wedding activities to attend. Maybe I will be able to revisit Edinburgh. My flight took 16 hours to get there so this hotel was a welcome sight for a weary traveler.🤗

Fabulous Stay

Perfect location in new town with the tram, bus station and Waverly in very close walking proximity. Also, new town has flat streets on a grid, making it easier to navigate. Couldn't ask for more from a hotel. Breakfast (free) was great with all fresh offerings. The hotel was immaculate and the beddings extremely comfortable. Staff went out of their way to accommodate all, even with the hotel being at full capacity. I would recommend the double room with view. It was very spacious and overlooked St Andrews Square. Noteworthy - very quiet hotel.

Very disappointing and not worth double room at £166 total let down

Disappointing, for £166 small room no water in the room, paying this much surely? Again would have expected robes! The bedroom at the front so small and have stayed at so much better at that price in Edinburgh! Location excellent, breakfast in not complimentary not at £166! Scrambled egg cold as were the tea coffee! Very average!
