Very disappointed Stay at Novotel Canary Wharf

on the pictures everything seemed to be perfect, and we booked the Studio Suite at this Hotel for our two days London weekend trip, it was our second trip to London after years. The welcome at the front desk was very kind also the room looked good. The disappointment begun in the night, as we went to bed. We saw that the mattress is completely saggy, it felt like you are lying in a pit. We woke up couple of times in the night because it was very uncomfortable, and you could feel the bed frame. So, we lost a recovered sleep for our second and last day in London. How it comes that none of the staff didn't discover such a saggy mattress and let guests sleep on it? I went to the reception, and told this to the receptionist, they were friendly, apologized and changed the room into another same category but smaller room. Next embarrassing moment started in the breakfast area BôKAN, the front desk lady at the Restaurant showed a direction of free table for us. So, we entered and took our food and went to our table place. Now there was two free tables, and we didn't know which one was for us. In the near was another Staff member so I asked if we could take any table and she said yes, we sit down and started. A view minutes later the lady from the Restaurant front desk came and just said "By the way, the other table is yours" in front of all people and we had to change the table, this was so embarrassing. Later I shaved in the Bathroom, as i run the faucet with warm water, there was a decent peep tone all the time, so I kept going with shaving, then my girlfriend came in and said, is there a fire-alarm outside? I checked the floor outside the room and the peep tone was even louder than in the Bathroom, like a fire-alarm. This tone came every time while warm water was running. Later in the night the air duct also made creepy sounds. What the hell is going on in this hotel? Later I made a complaint and told them all the points, that we never expected such a bad experience from a 4 stars hotel, and we are not willing to pay the full amount, we already paid for at the check-in and asked kindly for a refund of 50%. This stay was not cheap. Instead, we got these two poor offers: 1. A Room Upgrade with Breakfast and a drink in the same Hotel, for the next time. /Uhm there isn't a next time, if we once visit London again, we would choose a different Hotel, to see something new. OR 2: 2000 Member points /Really? This equals to £38/40€ and can't even nearly justify all the points. We declined and didn't get any answer anymore. Keep the Money and be proud to your behaviour and Customer-Care. There are a lot more, miles away better Hotels. to prove I’m not exaggerating, the videos in attachment By the way, the heating in the second room didn't work.

Amazing hotel, great stylish furnishing and comfy beds. Choice between a softer and a firmer pillow + cute throw pillows. My room also featured a sofa with a breakfast table that tucks into the sofa itself. My stay included breakfast, Emy was of wonderful help with that. Overall 10/10

The hotel was close to the canary wharf underground station, with many shops and restaurants. The restaurant was awesome in the 38th floor!! Estrella was really kind and helpful! Hopefully see her again at the next congress! :)

The hotel is great. The rooms were clean, comfortable bed, nice shower and an astonishing view. The hotel is new and is maintained perfectly. It’s a pitty I couldn’t try the spa and the fitness but I’m sure they are great as well. All of the staff were very friendly but there was one receptionist - Rado - who was one of the best receptionist that I’ve ever met. He was really polite, explained us everything and was there any time if we needed anything. Just an amazing guy! Definitely recommend this hotel.
