Handy Hotel for the O2

This is our second stay at the Ibis Canning Town. It’s the ideal place to stay if attending events at the O2 as it’s one tube stop away. The hotel has a nice vibe, staff are very welcoming and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Great bar area with some nice food on the menu. We had a pizza which was delicious. Breakfast is also well worth the money with lots of choice. The hotels location opposite the tube / bus and DLR station provides an easy transit into the city centre.

Another great stay at the Ibis. The room & hotel were very clean & comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly & relaxed. The staff are all lovely, knowledgeable & nothing is too much trouble. I have to mention Tahir who was so friendly & welcoming, a real credit to the Ibis. Thank you so much. We will be back again next year.

Well located, lovely staff & really clean The staff were amazing, the hotel is funky & cool, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again - I was so impressed! We stayed here while attending a night at the O2 and it was perfect. Couldn't rate it highly enough for a great hotel at a reasonable price.

Another great stay, the best Ibis by far

Without a doubt, this is my faviourite Ibis. I first stayed here a week or two after it opened and I feel it hasnt aged at all, they really maintain it well. The reception/bar area has a really nice vibe to it and is very welcoming. We checked in just after 1pm and our room was ready (which was a bonus.) I know most of the rooms here are of a similar design, but this time our room was a corner room, so was a little larger and had 2 windows. With a personal welcome note and a couple of bottles of water for us, this should be the blueprint for all budget hotels and just shows it's the simple things that can make a difference. The room as usual was good and very clean, i expect nothing less as I have never had an issue in the many times I have stayed here. (Ibis Thurrock, please take note!) If you are still in doubt if staying here is right for you, the location is brilliant. Steps away from Canning Town Station, right on the DLR and Jubilee line - it's 2 stops to Stratford where the Elizabeth line whisks you into central london in minutes. If i had to pick an annoyance, it would the the variation in pricing - a Saturday night can be so much more than other nights, but that isnt unique to Ibis, that's all hotels in London these days it seems, even so, booked a month in advance, we stayed for £132 which was just about acceptable. Accor should use this as a template for all their hotels - not just the design but the friendliness of the staff and they way the hotel is maintained.

I've stayed here a number of times over the past year and have recommended the hotel to friends and colleagues who need to stay in the area. Location is very convenient and the ground floor area has a nice relaxed vibe with a small selection of food in the evening and a decent breakfast each morning. Rooms are not huge but clean and comfortable enough. The staff are always helpful and welcoming.
