Business trip overnight - no elevator. Made it difficult with multiple luggage items getting up 2 flights stairs . You have to request a lower level - but a new guest does not know this .

We came for Humming Bird music festival and everywhere is either booked out or too expensive. Mercure is only 15mins uber drive from the festival and a third of the price of the accommodation with free parking. Winning!

Couldn't believe how dirty the carpet was and the stale smell.

The room was clean and comfortable, but there were some maintenance issues in the bathroom. The toilet seat was loose and nearly falling off, and two soap containers fell off in the shower. These issues were repaired the next day. The car park is full of potholes, and the room’s balcony needs a good clean. The carpets in the hallway and on the stairs were disgustingly filthy, which put a real damper on our visit.

I was quoted one price when I booked then was charged $10 more when arriving. I have luggage and asked for a main floor room but was given top floor with stairs to negotiate.

The rooms need work. A deep clean of the bathroom to remove build up mold/staining around the shower. The dirt/dust build up on the ceiling/walls around the a/c needs to be removed.

The motel was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were polite. The food was good. My only issue was there is no lifts. I have knee and hip issues. So this made it a bit harder.

The hotel is fine but dated and not at all luxury. This may be reflected in the typical pricing however we visited on a busy New Castle weekend. The bed was comfy which is the most important thing.

The hotel is tired and somewhat grubby. Staff whilst present are by no means engaged. Reception is not maned overnight so people who are entering or leaving come through a fire door to the rear of the muddy pothole ridden back car park. That said fire door is left unlocked allowing access to the interior for anyone far from secure or ideal. Rooms are noisy and poorly insulated and or sound proofed. Breakfast was adequate rather than good. Soggy bacon tepid pre cooked eggs etc. It is in a convenient location and has pleasant district views but I would imagine survives fit to its convenience rather than its great service.

Staff were very accommodating, friendly and have a high level of service. We also had a function at the hotel and that was just incredible, staff were very attentive and patient as we worked through all the details. They really encouraged us to have the event we really wanted even with a piper making a racket, it was very special and your staff made it even better.
