The room allocated was large and comfortable, however after the first shower there was a huge leak on the opposing wall of the bathroom which saturated the carpet in the entry way. Within an hour, we were told we would have to move to another room. This was disappointing as we were staying for 4 nights and would have enjoyed the space to spread out. The staff were helpful and moved our luggage to the new room. Unfortunately it was not as big and the aircon did not work, so with 3 adults in one room, the nights were quite stuffy and uncomfortable. The room was not as well appointed and the bathroom quite old and in need of repair. Overall the accommodation was adequate but could have been better.

The staff and shared spaces with the Pullman are excellent. Breakfast and coffee were great. The room was spacious, warm and comfy. The hotel is showing its age and is a little tired around the edges eg loose grating from the ventilation, old tiles and grouting in the shower, scuffed walls and doors in the corridor and a rickety lift where the cover of the room fob kept falling off.

The room is large but not very convenient or comfortable. The robe doors are not properly fitted. You should mention that the shower is on the bath in the room description. The aircon doesn’t work properly. However your staff is amazing. So I will return.

Florent on the front desk was immensely helpful but otherwise the stay was underwhelming- room service was awful, the room was dirty on arrival (there was someone else’s hair clip on the floor, the toilet wasn’t flushed) and the room was very noisy.

Great pause to relax after visiting family and seeing a music show in Fitzroy. It was a little treat. Mortimer's has good food and beer, and just feels like a relaxed hotel place to be, watching the traffic and people go by on Queen's Rd. Beds are great, as always. We received an upgrade due to some computer booking issue, but it wasn't a big thing, so that little thing was appreciated. Also thought the pool and rec centre access was great. We've visited before, so it's now a comfortable choice for a short stay in Melbourne, when visiting from Ballarat.

Was easy to hook, easy to check in and easy to check out. We did have quite a noisy toilet though which was slightly annoying. I also wish they asked for car rego on the day so we could park straight away, then go to reception with our bags for check in.
