We had a great 5 night stay at this hotel, our room was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The location is amazing, situated close to many options for food, shopping, entertainment and public transport. Our bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet with blockout blinds and along with the pillow menu assured a great nights sleep. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful from the moment we entered the hotel. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Situated opposite Adelaide Railway Station and free tram around town ( and onto Glenelg it’s free for seniors). They have a car park opposite the entrance which you can come and go from any number of times for about $30 every day. One block from Mall and a few blocks (easy walk or catch the tram) from Victoria Square and Gouger St where all the restaurants are. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. Always friendly and smiling and every time you walk in they look up from whatever they’re doing and welcome you back or say hello. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their knowledge of things to do is great. The rooms (and whole hotel) have just been renovated and are beautifully appointed and decorated in relaxing colours. The curtains are definitely black out ones from corner to corner. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were a big part of that.

Our stay was, for the most part, incredible. Great service at the reception desk, great restaurant and food, amenities, and luxurious rooms. The only downside was the air conditioning stopping at 1am due to a door sensor (we hadn’t opened the door during our stay and didn’t even know it was there) and reception staff having to come up and fix it. Sounded like an ongoing problem which was frustrating.

We stay at The Playford every year for the Tour Down Under. This year in Jan for 16 nights in The Loft Room. Beautiful rooms . We have stayed at two other hotels nearby in Adelaide in the past , the rooms were small and the service was substandard , but nothing compares to The Playford. The staff were amazing and the service is definitely 5 star. Thank you for making our stay memorable .
