Great location, however very let down by a couple of things. Firstly, we noted on first use that the handbasin in the bathroom was not draining properly. Reported to front desk who did respond quickly by sending someone to check it. However, by this time, the bathroom floor trap had backed up and totally flooded the bathroom floor to a depth of about 30mm. The issue was resolved but there was no offer of a special thorough clean of the bathroom or offer of relocation to another apartment to allow for this to happen. Just a “sorry”. For a hotel rated 5 stars we don’t feel that this response was good enough. We didn’t use either of the on-site dining/bar areas at all. They look really good on the hotel website and we thought the bar would be nice to come back to in the afternoon to sit and have a drink. Wrong. Both venues were primarily dining areas during the day and the bar area was very noisy all day. At night the restaurant area closed early so was unavailable just to sit in and have a drink. We did have our apartment and we sat out on our balcony but, to find a nice quiet place to sit and have a drink in the evenings, we had to go elsewhere. We booked here thinking we would have a relaxing 5 star experience as valued guests and this didn’t happen.

Was booked in for 1 night but once I saw the beautiful 1 bedroom apt I booked a second night. Perfectly located for the Opera house as I was seeing a show. Breakfast was included and was alacarte. Hyde Hacienda is a great bar with amazing views over the harbour and lovely food and amazing cocktails. Service was exceptional in all areas.

Your staff, Sammy Nguyen, the breakfast staff, the cleaning lady all went above the call of duty - “Excellent”. We were rather baffled by the plastic lining the carpet in the hallways. I would expect this in a one star hotel or a country location with FIFO workers but not a four and half/five star hotel that charges this rate !

Plus: Great location. Well appointed and spacious apartment. Great soundproofing. Ltd if power points and charging sockets in the apartment. Minus: Noticed hand basin drained very slowly on first and subsequent uses. Reported this to front desk first morning. Attended to very promptly but not before the bathroom floor completely flooded to a depth of 30 mm with the first shower. Water coming up through floor trap. Had to use several bath towels to get out of shower and bathroom safely. Not impressed that there was little apology or concern expressed by front desk staff. Expect a whole lot better reaction from a 5 star rated hotel. Didn’t use either of the on-site venues. Too noisy. Would have liked there to be a quiet lounge space for guests. Not just the front foyer.
