Great location and view - let down by Covid & refurbishment limitations

Return stay here following several previous positive experiences. This stay for 3 nights during current Covid restrictions - No bar, no room service, no breakfast - buffet or otherwise, no restaurant. Room was relatively new after a recent refurbishment, but this too had teething problems - there was no in-room hotel services guide, neither electronic (accessed via the TV) or a hard copy. Additionally, there was no option to watch movie channels - only additional channels available were Fox sports. Upon asking reception they advised that movies were available by pressing 'channel 8' on the TV remote however, this simply showed that the AV connection was not connected. Staff stating that there were 'teething problems' with some of the refurbished rooms. The room itself was well laid out & spacious, including a fully functioning kitchen with full size fridge & freezer as well as a laundry. Bed was supper comfy with a view of the harbour from the bed, including a TV in the bedroom. A harbour-view balcony was also included. Bathroom was spacious & well equipped with a spa bath & separate shower. Unable to locate an iron or ironing board however & because there was no hotel services guide, unsure if this was available from reception. Staff in general were pleasant. Still a great hotel, but this experience a little underwhelming due in part to Covid & teething problems with refurbished room. Will return at some stage hopefully when things are somewhat back to normal.

Staff are so freindly and helpful and our room upgrade saw us in a one bedroom apartment overlooking Sydney Harbour with spectacular views! The room was well equipped with laundry facility etc. Location is walking distance to some of the best restaurants Sydney has to offer.....We couldnt have asked for a better stay.

Staff were super friendly. The room -deluxe 1 bdr harbour view, was stunning! We got surprise chocolates and champagne sent up to the room for my bday. The staff went above and beyond. Best birthday ever!

No provision for an evening meal except the Horizon Bar. Even though I tried to enter at 5:35 I was told that it was already at capacity. However, two women were admitted as I waited at the lift immediately adjacent to the bar. No allowance for guests at hotel, and had to find a restaurant outside the hotel. Also, no provision for breakfast and was pointed in the direction of a coffee shop in the AMP Building.

With a couple of friends we ventured to the city, and the Pullman Quay Grand was the perfect place to stay. A view of the Harbour Bridge, the coming and going of the Ferries, and a really nice atmosphere at the Quay Grand.

From front of house check in was quick n efficient. The view is amazing and the upgrade to new refurbished apartment was fantastic...... bit disappointing restaurant was closed but due to COVID what can you do. You are so close to all shopping n restaurants so all was ok for a perfect short break.

I booked this as part of my daughters eighteenth birthday celebration. We checked in and once in the room heard drilling & banging directly above us. I rang the duty manager and was told that they would get it stopped I also asked about the chocolates that I had ordered but were not in the room & was told the Chef had to prepare them. The noise continued so I rang the front desk again & was told it would stop soon. It didn't so we left early for dinner. We were promised that there would be no work the next day. Next morning we were woken up by things being dropped on the floor & about 9.00am the drilling started again & the chocolates had not arrived. I rang the duty manager again, I was hung up on, I rang again & was told I needed to speak to Simon, the person who promised me the previous day that no work would be done, and he would ring me back - he didn't. So in shear frustration we checked out early. As expected I had to call Simon to get the promised refund transacted. Service at this hotel is non-existent & I was / am appalled. Every promise that was made was broken, even something as simple as getting the chocolates that were ordered to the room. Completely ruined what was to be a happy celebration

Hi guys , My wife and i have stayed at the Quay many times over the last 20 years - overall a great hotel. However in recent times there seems to be a few small problems turning up eg stayed there a few weeks ago - used our drink vouchers - the drinks turned up on the bill - rang up - the guys told me they would sort it out and ring me back - no call so far

The room was great (renovated one) and the food quality was good. Our Botanical Garden room was great. Much better than expected. Unfortunately the service was quite poor on many levels. Breakfast was served in the bar. Low foot stools as seating and bar tables. Very uncomfortable. I can't see why breakfast wasn't served in the restaurant on proper chairs and tables. We have been charged for items we haven't purchased and on several occasions. New charges keep appearing on our credit cards even 2 days after we checked out. I'm about query some of these stray bottles of wine, vodka and breakfast charges. Great stay, however, it puts a bad taste in your mouth when the hotel has free run of your credit card and charges all sorts of items to it.
