This has been one of the best stay for my trip. It's located within the furniture expo (one of the biggest in the world). Not only the infrastructure is great, but the hotel is more commendable by it's welcoming and home feeling hospitality across the whole hotel. We booked a junior suite and a luxury room to spend for our Xmas. The check in was easy (Lusen did a great job in checking me in, also check out). The rooms were Neo Chinese style, giving great touch on Cantonese architecture (typical stained glass). The amenities and bath tubs were great! To add points, the both robes and slippers were both silky type (not the cotton type). We were greeted and treated well the moment we arrived at the hotel, and all the way to our room. Any staff would approach us when they saw us wondering or confused. The manager at the spa and fitness area were kindly giving us a tour and offered us tea (we did not sign up for any spa treatment). We also had great time spent at the lounge area (which we also had our dinner). Harley, the manager was very nice and offered us whatever we need, we had a great chat about wine. I would also like to say special thanks to Colin and Darlene (and other colleagues) at the concierge who had been so helpful in attempt to find our driver (who later believed to have scammed me) when we were leaving for our next destination. They had tried their best to allocate, call the drivers and even offer support to book for new transport. Thank you so much! Would love to come back and stay longer in the future!

Checked in 31 December 2024 for one night staycation. As Accor Diamond member, I redeem suite voucher for this stay. Overall experience was very good. Modern and contemporary room where the size of the suite being decent not extravagant. Tried the Executive Lounge during “Happy Hour” between 5:30 to 7:30 PM and enjoyed spread of hot & cold food plus selection of alcohol. What surprises me was the lounge also offered each guest a meal to select from menu. I tried curry chicken (said to be made by chef from New Delhi) whilst my partner tried pork BBQ. Both I found of good standard. I had tried their sparking wine, white and red. The Cabernet Sauvignon was from Chile and tastes sweet. Breakfast on the 58/F has got a wide spread of food. The restaurant has a segregated area for ACCOR members. Service was good as they clear plates in good time. Eggs was done perfectly, noodles was good but the rice roll not to expectation. Amongst the food, I found a display card showing “BIRCHER MUESLI “ which are in black. Being curious, I took a bowl to taste and can conclude it to be cold black sesame “soup” not anything close to muesli or cereal. Upon asking the supervisor who asked the kitchen, 3 chef came and claimed it to be their “invented” Bircher Muesli. I wouldn’t agree with them and told them this is not correct. Picture show what being displayed and another the usual muesli that I had at Hilton Futian 2 days ago. The hotel is located in the heart of furniture mall. You can see all major home furniture shops all under one roof. Parking is convenient and within the same building there is a famous Chinese (Shunde) restaurant 猪肉婆 Zhuropou.on 7/F. Generally, we found no fault in hardware and service. Yes! We should be coming back to this Sofitel on next visit to Foshan.
