My stay in ibis Styles was wonderful. Amazing staff, always ready to help. My first time staying here and the experience is great. What I read on the net while searching for an accommodation in Birmingham matches it in real life. The hotel is clean and never had any second thought. Is in indeed home away from home. Highly recommended.

I was pleasantly greeted, staff were both helpful and courteous, The room was clean, and well presented albeit a little cold but the heating soon remedied that, However, I had been on a long day and was looking forward to a hot shower, the water was luke warm and as the room had not yet warmed up I found myself both cold and wet with little comfort. The water in the basin did get hot though my back didn't benefit from that. I had a good nights sleep, and the shower was no different the next morning, (Maybe a mixer unit fault) and the coffee had only one sachet and only 1 sugar. The Pack up Breakfast was very nice and I appreciated that before I continued on my day.

The Ibis Hagley road staff had made every effort to make the hotel COVID-19 safe as possible, the areas marked out very clear, rooms very clean plenty of hand sanitizer around the hotel. Well done to the team.

I have booked and personally viewed adjoining rooms back in March as I was getting married in the church round the corner. The only reason why I booked with you was the location and having joining room so me and my bridesmaids can get ready without crossing corridors. Once I have arrived at the reception, young girl with black and grey ombré hair told me that I have two rooms but they aren’t joining rooms! I was livid I am not going to lie as you only get married once ! She wasn’t even sincerely sorry and kept saying there is nothing she can do but no apology was received. There was no manager on duty which was also shocking ! Once we finally got back after having dinner outside the hotel, we have decided that we don’t want to stay separately and opted for all of us to sleep in one room which by the way smelled of smoke - we used a lot of perfume trying to mask the smell as we didn’t want to breathe in cigarette smell or my wedding or bridesmaids dresses to smell and kept window open all night long! Then my bridesmaid wanted to wash her hair but water was boiling hot to the point she burnt herself. I have tried to adjust the temperature but got soaked instead! My other bridesmaids also tried and as we had no luck, they went to report it to the reception desk. One guy- I guess security/night porter arrived (he was helpful and laid back) and after several minutes he gave up as water was at the boiling point and told us to use the room across the hall to shower. Overall, nothing related to your hotel went right - from rooms, reservations, smell, shower and having incompetent staff. On top of everything, I told both girls at the reception that I am expecting a call from manager on Tuesday which once again failed.

The staff are lovely....however the room did not smell fresh, toilet was not clean had feaces in it and there was no soap in the bath.

This hotel is conveniently located and the price I paid was reasonable. The room was comfortable and quiet. However, the lack of a restaurant together with the restrictions placed on the bar service went against the hotel.

CANCELLED MY STAY AND THEY WONT REFUND ME

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Fast, efficient check in service by very friendly receptionist. Had requested soya milk for breakfast which the receptionist remembered about the following morning. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Birmingham.

One point to note, rooms needs to have iron and iron board in the rooms. Also the rooms didn’t have adequate plugs. Also choose of breakfast was not one of the best.

Ok first room boiling hot heating on !! Moved rooms , no air con in hotel so hot night fan didn’t do anything, didn’t like breakfast in bag just full of sweet things !!
