Good size rooms and comfortable, good staff who respond well to requests

In terms of your comments about the Sweet Bed's comfort, it tends very much to be a matter of personal preference, and I am sorry that it was not to your liking. Dear Mr H., Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. I was sorry to learn that your stay on this occasion fell short of your expectations and I apologise for any discomfort or inconvenience caused. At Ibis, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. I regret that you found the temperature of your room to be very cold and I am very sorry if this prevented you from enjoying a good sleep. Our Ibis hotels have an ‘air cooling’ system in place which does differ from air conditioning and this system is partly dependent on the external temperature. I can only apologise if this was not sufficiently effective on this occasion. For your comfort in the future, please be assured that our reception desk is attended 24 hours a day, so should you need assistance at any time, we will do our best to help. In this instance we could offer you a portable heater for more comfortable stay. Thank you once again for your time to share your experience, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Needed a place to stay for a couple of days while our home was being renovated. Did the job. Although when I booked it I was told only I would need to provide ID. So when I arrived to check in my ID wasn’t enough so had to go back home and collect other forms of ID for my young family members. Could’ve saved me the hassle by telling me when I initially booked it.

Good location, lovely staff. Not happy with cleanliness.

In the current environment the hygiene and cleanliness of our hotel and hotel facilities are top priorities more than ever. A great place to stay for a work trip

We spent 4 nights at the hotel and overall were very happy and satisfied with our experience. The room was clean, well equipped, spacious and comfortable enough to stay in. An issue with the shower was immediately resolved. The bed could have been slightly more comfortable and the room a little cooler but those are quibbles. The staff were all very polite and welcoming. Given it's just a short(ish) walk from the city centre the value for money was superb. The Covid arrangements in place were well thought through.

Room and bed were great. Breakfast was a bit chaotic; there were only a couple of staff and they were rather overwhelmed.

Dear Ms R., Thank you for your feedback received following your recent stay. I would like to apologise for the shortfall in the breakfast standard of service you received on this occasion. We all understand that this is a difficult and distressing time for our guests and team alike, but due to government restrictions and the need to observe social distancing, the hotel has put in place a number of alternative arrangements to provide services during your stay. We understand that some of these arrangements are quite different to the usual hotel experience so we ask for your understanding. We are always aiming sufficient staff cover to deal with the business that we originally have, however since last week we introduced a different way of breakfast service. Our breakfast team member is making sure that each guest is offered an individually plated breakfast, which can take more time. However your comments are very welcome and we will be looking what we can do to improve this service so we can meet all our guests' expectations. Customer Service is of paramount importance to us and we were deeply disappointed that, in this instance, we did not meet your expectations. We had a fab 2 night stay . Rooms very clean and warm . All staff were lovely,helpful and welcoming especially main receptionist and Sylvia . Will definitely stay there again when we visit the area, when hopefully the weather will be better (it rained quite a lot) and Covid was not such an issue . The hotel have implemented measures to make it Covid Safe

great stay for cycling around the canal network

We were very pleased with our break for cycling round the canal network. We only had to cross one road to get to the Grand Union. The secure car-park was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was comfortable with good facilities.

The hotel was in a good location for my visit. Breakfast was nice but the toast was quite hard like it had been left out, not fresh. You do get a lot for the price though which is good. All staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was extremely hot and the fan just blew out hot air so had to sleep with the window open which is next to a main road so it was quite noisy. The walls are quite thin too so we could hear other guests. Quite sure one guest was smoking in the room opposite us too. I did feel like the hotel was very clean and I felt comfortable staying and eating there with regards to the current covid situation. All staff members wore a mask and asked other customers to wear one too which put my mind at rest.
