Based on reviews in sure that the mercure was nice a couple of years ago, but the climate and humidity had clearly taken its toll on the facilities and it has not been maintained well. Our rooms AC actually made the room more damp and humid than the outdoors, making the sheets feel constantly wet. The humidity was also causing mold on the walls and around the hvac vents, and wallpaper to actually peel off the walls.

The drive to the hotel through the forest is beautiful, and the hotel itself is like a shell hidden in the greenery. We were grateful for the early check-in and the warm welcome from the staff. Our room smelled amazing and had a lovely view of the jungle and pool. It was clean, cozy, and perfectly air-conditioned. Do not miss the massage! It was one of the most professional experiences I've had. Great breakfast, excellent location near the attractions, and a very fresh vibe overall. We loved it!
