Disgusting, I have seen cleaner dog kennels. First became worried when we were shown downstairs. The state of carpet and decor was very poor. Lower walls heavily marked and scuffed. Considering we are just recovering from the Covid lockdown etc I would expect a high standard of cleanliness if nothing else. The room was disgusting!! The floor needed vacuum cleaning. The sink and bath were both dirty. The units needed cleaning and there was still spilt coffee runs down the front of the doors. One of the drawers was broken and the state of the armchair was unbelievable. Only fit for the tip!! We did not stay, The staff did say they were sorry, and that they would clean the room, but had already decided to leave. I have never seen such a dirty room before, in any of the places I have stayed. Fortunately we were able to find a room in another hotel which was perfect!! I hope the experience I had with your hotel never ever happens again. I feel sorry for your future guests. Things definitely need to change!

I left my phone at the hotel and rang to say I would pay for them to post it to me, over a week has gone by and more phone calls to them still nothing has been done. I have rang again this morning and JULIE has been very helpful but I have now asked a friend to pick it up for me. Very dissappointed with this service

Bought a overnight room from Groupon, given a room on the lower basement floor. Really in dire need of a good refurbishment. Room allocated stank of smoke and leaking tap. Spoke to manager who agreed and kindly moved us to another room. I asked was this because voucher bought from Groupon he said not, but I’m not convinced. Hotel overall is very tired.

Overall we had a nice time at the hotel, the bed was large and comfortable, the people were nice and the food was good, unfortunately the room needs a deep clean. The balcony area was neglected, there was cobwebs behind the curtains, lots crumbs in one of the drawers and the sachets of milk in the room were 18months out of date.

Enjoyed very much a 5 night break in a "privelege" room (316). Have stayed here before when owned by Jarvis and found rooms somewhat jaded then and much investment still needed when Accor have greater certainty about post-pandemic business. Glad to see the excellent buffet breakfast back in action. and that the hotel is well patronised.

Overbooked and Unavailable

On arrival the hotel on Saturday evening we found the hotel had been massively overbooked and despite having a confirmed booking number from the Accor website no room was available. This meant a hasty booking with Premier Inn that cost at least £100 more than our Accor booking. This was totally unacceptable and I feel Accor should pay compensation.

Friendly staff, especially the lady at the front desk of the gym/swimming facilities. Evening meal was adequate Breakfast very good £9 for a glass of house wine is extortionate and not worth in a place of disrepair Room was poor in decor. This may of been because we were on a groupon deal

Simple, a little tired

I booked my stay directly with Accor online and paid two weeks in advance. Kindly the hotel upgraded my family to a junior suite, as it was a special occasion. On the downside I was asked to pay in full again, on arrival, even though I attested that I had already paid. I was then told by the receptionist that I would have to sort it out myself. That meant spending the first night worried about if I would be refunded and trying to contact Accor -which isn't easy in itself. After speaking with two other receptionists, my husband finally got it resolved. The room was fine but the wardrobe had several moths in it, so we were worried about hanging clothes in there. Other than that, the facilities were good and not far away from some beautiful scenery.

Horrendous stay

Kyle Couples - 14/09/2021 Confirmed reviews ALL

It was an awful experience, I booked the stay for two nights with my partner. We drove from Manchester in busy traffic after what was suppose to be a nice relaxed weekend. When we arrived, the receptionist said that there was an error with our booking and that they were too understaffed to call us to let us know prior to our arrival. The ‘error’ was that the hotel was fully booked for our second night and we could only stay in a twin room as opposed to our booked double. Unfortunately we were unable to book somewhere for our second night cutting our weekend away short and henceforth ruining our trip away. When we arrived at our room, it was disgracefully filthy. The room stunk of smoke and the fire alarm was covered with cling film. The windows were disgustingly dirty and there were dead flies on the windowsill. The television didn’t work and there was even a used player on the floor. Obviously we have taken photographs of everything since this evidently shows the hotel has no regard for hygiene particularly during the current COVID19 climate. If this wasn’t already enough the receptionist came upstairs and accused us of not paying while we were at reception with her earlier, thankfully we still had a copy of the receipt she had gave us which she took and away and returned back to us later. The following Monday, at work I received a call from the receptionist and she had again accused us of not paying. I had to then have the same conversation I had had two days prior.

Over priced and not very clean!

Peter S. Business - 14/09/2021 Confirmed reviews ALL

Firstly the Hotel is 40% more expensive than what's its actually worth, I was expecting the same level of accommodation as a travel lodge, which when I arrived for my 4 night stay I was given a room in the roof that looked like a 1970's Blackpool bed sit, the room was not cleaned properly, and the decor was disgusting, the wall paper was even stuck onto the wall with gloss paint. The beds didn't even have a mattress protector on neither did the pillows, and with guest safety a priority at the minute I would expect these measures to be take, the bed was like sleeping on a dining room table, and every night I had to go to the reception and get my key re scanned as it did not work. The Bar was £4.80 for a pint and the beer tasted like it was out of date, we ate there for the first night and I was expecting a decent burger for the £16.50 but it was reheated mush with crappy wilted salad, heron foods frozen chips and a shot glass with some salsa in it! just because the chef can stick a stick in the burger does not make it top notch, it was just like everything else in the hotel OVER PRICED! Overall the Staff were pleasant and very helpful but the management need a kick up the arse as they are the ones that make the decisions and should be checking the up keep and making sure things are running smoothly! When I was checking out the lady on the counter asked "are you checking out Sir?" I said "no I'm evacuating". All in all I will not be BACK!

I found this hotel through wowcher as I usually take family back to Leeds a few times a year. I was drawn to the fact there was parking. Pool. And a good offer which included food. All was fine for the stay

Disgusting

We have just checked out after two nights at the mercure parkway in leeds. I don't normally email complaints but i must say the hotel, as a whole, is absolutely disgusting. The rooms are old, tired and dirty. The stay was vile. Dirty floors, cobbled together security locks on the “patio doors”, dirty tiles in the shower (which had a previous occupants hair stuck to it!!!) It is completely unacceptable As for breakfast, i aired on the aide of caution and stuck to coffee only, although the mugs and glasses that are out aren’t clean (nor are the ones served from the bar) The room we received was nothing like the picture on the website when i booked, which is understandable as i imagine you would be hard pressed to get visitors if you used the actual room images. Again, i think the correct word to describe the experience is “unacceptable”. The hotel is in need of a major overhaul - at every level This will be copied onto trip advisor, to help prevent other potential visitors from having to endure the same nightmare

Shocking rude staff overcharged

Receptionist incompetent of doing his job I booked via the app for £63 pound when I went to go check in at 7pm he said he needs to update my booking as I had 2 adults not 1 adult and charged me £75 for the room I explained to him I hooked at a memebers rate you can’t charge me because I have an extra person this is ridiculous I showed him on the app he states his screen says I need to pay. Need to train your staff better on how to talk to customers and train him on how to use the system. Absolute joke he is a jobsworth hasn’t got a clue rude and unprofessional

We stayed there for a week with our son and puppy. Comfortable room with sofa bed that we could put away during the day. Easy access to the garden & woods for the puppy walks! Enjoyed the spa facilities. Generous breakfast with good variety (full English; breads; cold cuts; cereals; yogurts&fresh fruits). The hotel had only reopened for a few weeks and was their first week of being back in full force with guests and number of events taking place but staff was always friendly while trying to keep up with guests requests. Will certainly be back when next in Leeds.

As previously I found the hotel comfortable I had a twin room overlooking the garden, very nice view; and the breakfasts enjoyable. One criticism is that the room I had looked a little 'tired' in need of a little refurbishment.
