We only stayed the one night however the room was spotlessly clean,the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The overall impression was very good indeed. The grab and go breakfast was excellent and the receptionist on duty noticed that although the system only had one breakfast on it she made enough for the two of us. A really thoughtful and nice touch. We will certainly be staying at the Ibis Shipley again.

I've stayed here before and know how handy it is for road, rail and bus links and access to Bradford, Leeds, Saltaire, etc. Friendly reception good this time, better than previously. I requested a canal view room and that was forthcoming. Bed comfortable, quite spacious room. Decor tired in places - worn carpet, edges of furniture worn. Bathroom could be improved - drains smelly, poor towels.

i stayed in the hotel when i was working in the area over lockdown. the rooms were clean and tidy although a dit dated. i normal stay in a different chain but this hotel was in a better location for me. no complaints, slept well but no food become of lockdown.

Dreadful welcome, noisy rooms

I was greeted by a very aggressive colleague who barked at me that they had been trying to contact me - in reality, they had called my mobile & I had returned the call, only for it to not be picked up. They had then emailed me - which I hadn't seen as I had already set off for my stay. They were trying to reach me to check my key worker status - disappointing that either they didn't try again on the mobile or that the website didn't pop up with a reminder @ time of booking. The welcome was unfriendly, very confrontational and not what I had expected after a 3 hour drive. The room was very bare, stripped of any character or personality - obviously due to Covid situation, but just felt sterile. The walls were very thin, I could hear people's tvs and also doors opening & closing. I believe they had limited the area that guests were allowed to stay due to Covid - however, in reality, this just downgraded the stay. Not a great experience at all & I wouldn't stay again.

The welcome and efficiency of the staff was awesome, yes the room was basic but it was more adequate and everything's presented was clean and tidy. The bed was extremely comfortable and a linen crisp clean. The bathroom is a little dated but more than functional. Location was excellent for the railway station town centre and local amenities.

It was okay once I'd been told how the Wi Fi works - perhaps information on the key envelope might help. In the morning there was no hot water at the wash basin and shower, so was unable to bathe and shower

Stayed 1 night, did have 5 nights booked for various dates in the month but decided to cancel them and go somewhere else. If the furniture wasn't in the room the carpets would have walked to the bin they were disgusting. Furniture very old and dated. I was surprised given this is not an IBIS budget hotel, I wonder what they are like!!. However the staff were friendly and the shower was nice and the bed was comfy enough for 1 night.

The receptionist who dealt with me when I arrived was very professional and efficient. The room was well located on the ground floor and was extremely clean. I felt that the room was a little on the cold side and put the electric radiator on. Having had a very busy day and a long drive, I soon fell asleep. I woke up around 2.00am due to a 'humming noise' which continued in a cycle of making the noise and then stopping for a second and then repeating the noise in a cycle. I didn't know where the noise was coming from until I noticed a flashing light on the radiator display screen. When I investigated the screen was showing an error message on the radiator. I switched the radiator off and the noise abated. It was unfortunate as it interrupted my sleep and I found it difficult to get off to sleep again. These things happen. I very much enjoyed the breakfast and when the receptionist asked if everything was ok I did mention the radiator incident. This was not to complain just to make sure that the hotel was aware of the issue and that the matter could be dealt with. I thought the receptionist was excellent in the way she took ownership of the issue and informed me that a maintenance engineer would deal with the matter. It is a well located efficiently run hotel and I will stay again.
