The hotel was brilliant, however my experience with booking was not so good. I asked for interconnecting rooms but this was not recorded on the booking, even though this was stressed. Luckily the hotel sorted it out. Also, I was happy to pay early for the booking when I booked in January but this was not taken then.

Excellent service but the rooms can do with a bit of love

1) Very good welcome and excellent service through out our stay even we could tell they were short of staffs 2) But the rooms were quite tired and my mum's room's extraction fan was broken so it was very damp and you could smell it. 3) No mini fridge in the room so it was a bit inconvenient for young family.

Well where do I start... From our disastrous check in & total hash with our accommodation request surely our stay here couldn't get any worse? To say the staff here are working under extreme pressure is an understatement & we were grateful for all that you did for us during our stay. There was a wedding reception taking place on the first night of our stay & while there was a red carpet in place it certainly wasn't deserved. There were guests clearly enebriated in the afternoon & in the evening it was disgusting with drunken noisy foul mouthed people all in the bar/lounge area of the hotel along with wedding party guests out on the front hotel car park too. It clearly wasn't a place for children to be & unfortunately we had no alternative but to all retrieve to our bedroom . The children along with my husband & I were just so disappointed. Our one & only trip to the swimming pool was alarming, while we knew there was no lifeguard on duty the changing area certainly had not been cleaned for a long time, there was rubbish strewn on the floor & on top of the lockers, dirty toilet & the shower cubicle had to be cleaned before it could be used. The lockers were all locked shut & no keys for any of them apart from 1 broken open locker which 5 of us had to use, the pool & gym were not busy as there was only 1 other couple there so why were there no available lockers. Beside the pool area the bin for wet/dirty towels was so full the towels were all piled up on the floor. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but each morning this was so disappointing. Dishes were empty & the staff could not replenish them all quickly enough before other diners swarmed in piling large plates full of fruit, pastries, cheeses, drinks bottles filled with fruit juice, basically stripping the bowls/platters of all their items before departing the dining area. We stay regularly in other Mecure hotels but this hotel is certainly not on our return list 😡😡
