Lovely hotel in a really good location, room was very clean! Breakfast was the highlight, Linda who ran the show was super friendly and made the stay much better. Being a night worker, no matter what time we came back through the night the staff were smiley and helpful.

We arrived midweek as we were guests at a wedding the next day on the foreshore of the river Humber. We were greeted by Gary, the charm school was clearly shut the day he attended, his customer service was awful. It seemed like we were an inconvenience as we weren’t the normal contractor customer ( their bread and butter Monday to Friday ) it seemed like a great effort to be nice, smile and indeed welcoming. We were given our room card for a first floor room and directed to the lift. Our lift took us to the second floor, but we had selected floor one. It’s a good that weren’t on that floor as the smell of mould from the carpets was overpowering. We eventually got the lift to work and made it to floor one and our room. The room did what it said on the tin, basic, functional and clean, so no complaints there. On our last morning there was once again a problem with the lift and also the ceiling on the first floor adjacent to the lift was being repaired , there was building material all over the floor, with the foot fall, it was an accident waiting to happen. ( No appropriate signage or barriers ) I was witness to the hotel worker / contractor making inappropriate comments to a young lady in gym wear that in my place of work would not have been tolerated. The lady in the breakfast room, whilst very pleasant was a little overbearing. Family chats should not be interrupted by a booming “ You ok luv ? “ I don’t wish to speak in a negative way about people in the service industry, but she probably needs to “ Pick her audience “ It was nearly an ok stay .

The rooms was filthy .. there was an awful smell throughout the corridor .. Most of the staff where lovely apart from one The jacuzzi was broken We checked out early and went home
