Room was freezing cold on arrival! Hotel was overpriced and in need of a revamp. Convector heater warmed room about about 4 hours after arriving. Couldn’t have a shower (which was poor) in this time because it was freezing! I understand these are difficult times but more effort should be made. On the upside, Covid measures were in place well and location good.

OK stay. Good to go back to a hotel I use frequently. First room was not made up! Second room the key struggled to work. Free drink no longer draft........ smaller. Aprt from that same as usual.

Collecting our key was easy after an online check in. Reception staff were lovely and very helpful- we didn’t need our late check out and despite the computer system being down they made a note and cancelled it later for us. Everywhere was well sanitised and we felt fine. There was no bin in our room, presumably removed for hygiene reasons, this was the only difficulty- where to put the used teabags! In the end we found a carrier bag we had with us & took put our own rubbish. Other than that small thing, all fine - beds very comfortable and good soundproofing from the traffic outside. Would stay again.

This was my first hotel stay since lockdown. Helpful prestay information about Covid secure precautions. The room appeared clean. Staff welcoming. Visitors might want to pack a non disposable cup or mug, if they intend to use the kettle for making drinks. As due to Covid precautions the ceramic mugs in the room have now been replaced with disposable.

It was easy to book and the lady who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. The room however was pretty dire. It is advertised as being very Covid friendly but there was dust everywhere which proved a proper clean had not been carried out properly. There was a bit of a cigarette smoke smell in the room and definitely in the corridors. I’m not convinced on the cleaning of the whole room, not just the dust. We asked for a quiet room but could hear cars outside - quietest room or request just ignored? We asked for a couple of wine glasses but were declined so had to use cups from the bathroom. We would have been happy to clean themselves ourselves but weren’t allowed? We were tired so put up with it but wouldn’t return.

The hotel is a little tired but clean and very tidy the staff were great nothing was too much trouble the grab bag wasn't very appetising but didn't bother us and I was able to get my mobility scooter in the room,the disabled access bathroom was very good also I'll be back.
