We have just stayed at this hotel for the third time in as many months. It is really handy for the motorway network, yet overnight it is sheltered enough for the motorway not to be a problem. The staff are always friendly and polite.

Firstly I got a text message to say do not look for a reception, to my shock I got to hotel and reception was there, 2 staff members was dealing with a guest, I saw a sign saying checked in online pointing on the wall (which I had) so me and my wife walked over trying to get and look for our key, unfortunately the signage stopped there and no suggestion as what to do next. 10 mins later I was seen to and given my key. Now I know the hotel is 2 star but I wouldn't have given it 1 star, staff make.up the stars in friendly manner. Rooms was dirty sitting in the corners (pictures taken) hairs in shower and sink, and the tv remote being held together by a STICKY label, which was coming off and sticking to my hand when I removed it the remote fell apart, this is when realised remote was being held together with it. I went to reception and showed picture of remote they just said "ok" like its normal. At no point did our bare feet touch the floor and got dressed standing on the bed! And this is the best room had to offer, hate to see a room which has not been cleaned given to a guest. Even had water stains in the ceiling. Food was ok, but would strongly recommend separating out the tongs for food better for people who do not eat meat or dairy as the tongs are all resting in front and can be used for any dish, other hotel chains put these inside the dish or next to that dish to prevent cross contamination.

We have stay at this hotel several times over the last 10 years whilst we are visiting family and always found the staff to be extremely friendly nothing too much trouble, The beds comfy, bedding lovely and fresh and clean nice little bar if you require a drink all round really enjoyed our stay thank you see you again some time

Room was "tired", there had obviously been a water leak from floor above, slight noise from door outside opening and closing as we were near to reception. But we have a good night's sleep despite it being very windy outside. Temperature was ok once we saw how to adjust the electric radiator.

Woken at 3:30 am by workmen who use the hotel on a regular basis it appears. Corridor under room smoke strongly of smoke where guests have covered the detectors and been smoking in the rooms. Made reception aware.

First time we have used an Ibis hotel and unfortunately if this hotel is the same standard as the rest it will be our last, Nice size room it had everything we needed the bed and pillows were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep, what really let this hotel down was the cleaning or lack of it, the skirting boards were covered in grime as was the inside of the window and the sill, outside the window was the gutter of another roof about a foot below it was full of cigarette butts, old food wrappers, carrier bags, and old gloves, the tv and its stand as well as the unit it stood on was covered in dust, fluff and general dirt, this unit was pulled away from the wall the screws and wall plugs were still in the unit and behind it the skirting was an inch thick in grime with general fluff and dirt covering the back of the unit. My wife couldnt wait to leave,we checked out about 9am. Our room number was 120 if someone would like to go and check..

I have stayed many times at the Ibis at Bramley nr Rotherham. This last visit I was in Room 6 ground floor with my wife. Observations: Very small sink basin difficult to use. Only luke warm water, (no hot water.) Very Noisy water flow. Duvet stained. Old fashioned TV. Breakfast: No Fried eggs, just scrambled. There is never a waste bin in the restaurant area in all the years of going there so everyone is always looking around for a place to put the breakfast boxes etc. On the Positive side, very friendly and helpful staff.

We stay twice a year at Ibis Rotherham as good location for our visit to East Pennines assembly hall at Hellaby. Our visit this time was a bit disappointing, as the room we were in was sadly looking very neglected. Curtains hanging off the rail, the wall near the bed was dirty. We couldn't have a shower as no water to the shower. The staff are very polite and breakfast adequate for our needs. Overall the hotel mis in need of a good make over.
