Exclusive, luxurious and super charming hotel with down to earth, friendly, service personnel. Yes Like always staying at Sofitel is a magnificent experience but this time I felt spoiled like never before. Dinner at Schönemanns was delicious and the waiter Team was well informed and entertaining. Great spa and fantastic massage and a Gorgeous suite made this stay one to remember. Maybe this a boring review but sincerely I don’t remember staying at a place for just one night and feeling like i spent almost a whole week there, with nothing to complain about. Everybody took care of us with their own personality and Charme,starting from the concierge team whom we had a lot of laughs with to the bar mixer at Lily’s bar who was very inventing and super informed about drinks and cocktails. Definitely coming back when we’re back in Frankfurt for ‘more soothing leisure. Thanks from the bottom of my heart ,my birthday was truly specials. Lorenzo P.

Thanks Sofitel Frankfurt team for a memorable stay. It was my wife’s birthday and we had an early morning arrival after an international flight. I had asked for flowers in the room upon arrival and paid fir an extra night to guarantee early check in. And the Sofitel team did not disappoint, they went above and beyond! Beautiful flowers, macaroons and a bottle of champagne with a personalized message. Service is what sets this beautiful property apart. Everything is spotless clean, cleverly designed and the location hard to beat right across from the Old Opera. Not cheap, but worth every penny. The rare property that caters to high-end business travelers and luxury private travel at the same time. Chapeau!

I would recommend everyone to stay due to it’s location, spacious and luxurious rooms, and the outstanding service. I’d like to note 2 things that could be improved: 1-Water should be complimentary and provided daily despite getting room service or not. 2-The valet parking was overpriced +€40 per night. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I’d stay in Sofitel whenever I get back to Frankfurt.

Good Hotel Far From Great

The physical structure of the hotel is nice. We have stayed there before. If you book a king size bed, there is no such thing. They take two twins and put them together with a “topper”. If the topper is not put on perfectly, it results in abed that is not exactly flat. The first night I slept with one side of my body higher than the other. We changed rooms and it was better but not great. The hotel is trying to be “green” and so the air conditioning system is set to cool one degree per hour. You read that correctly, one degree per hour. As a result, if you don’t plan way ahead even when it is colder outside the hotel , the room can be much too warm as it was for us. On our first stay, the hotel breakfast buffet was excellent. Due to Covid, changes have been made and not for the better. My major complaint is that for some reason, all 3 days we were there it took 15-20 minutes to get a cup of coffee and the same if you want a refill..I couldn’t understand that..

Checked in online and then pretty much repeated the experience, account wasn't linked and check in staff wasn't very helpful to explain he was happy to do that and welcome back etc etc. Usual check in is great at accor group. Room right next to the lift which was then changed. Room service choices were really poor and expensive.

Overall it was a good experience. I was surprised on how noisy it was at night... The rooms are brand-new and maybe a little "too" modern - the shower nob is not easy to figure out and we all screamed in the shower, not knowing that the top shower head would turn on - so maybe a little sign would help... also - the toilet door is frosted - the shower door not.... hmmmm Also - when we went swimming - we had a front desk lady bring us to the elevator - we both were in robes and swimming suit - once arrived at the pool we took a shower when we noticed that there are no towels.... so from a worker we learned we have to go to the reception to get one... well - we were dripping wet - thank god we found a lady that just arrived with 2 towels in her hand - she let us have them and went to get new ones - other than that - staff is very nice and friendly - I think its a little on the expensive side - considering what you get...

Great stay with superb service. The matre d' who looked after my room service was spot on and excelled (thanks!) Room was my favourite again with the balcony out front. Of note was that they took care of my preferences and notes which had not been my experience at some other Accor Hotels on this trip to Germany. Bravo Frankfurt Opera! Looking forward to staying again.

Well located but strange designed rooms

I chose the hotel because of being 5 star and well located. 5 star was the excellent service and clean rooms. Not so satisfying were: Totally messed up lights in the room. It was so difficult to figure out the 2-gang system. The toilet door also should not be opening inwards as the toilet is so small. But what really botheted was the base/music from the Lily’s bar below on Sunday after 10pm. Really annoying when trying to sleep.

This stay was booked by phone through Accor service in order to obtain one Suite Night Upgrade. Thats where the positive side stops.The reception was inexistant,below all standards of Sofitel. I asked for a quite room and received a room streetside with a lot of noise of traffic. We booked through service Accor a table,,big was our surprise to hear that the restaurant was closed.The room was not ready when we arrived largely after 15h00. At breakfast we wherz asked to sign for a 2nd person to have breakfast,allthough it was included in the price,and so on..incredible experience,in a lot of cases you are better received in a Ibis or Mercure! I would really not recommend to no one to stay here.

Great location with fantastic service and a quality room. There were only a couple of minor shortcomings relating to the mattress and the toilet in the room. Also, the breakfast buffet was very limited but I have assumed that this was due to Covid.

Most devastating stay I ever had in a five star hotel..

I can just warn anyone: Don’t book yourself in this narcissistic environment.. Accor group is well known for its narcissistic, french attitude.They let it out on their own guests! I checked in as a single, female guest. The perfect victim to play me and they did, in all kind of ways. The entire stay, they tried to drive me nuts, tried to give me a hard time.They made me wait for everything. I had to wait an whole hour to get a ridiculous bottle of water to my room after I already had an intense work out at the gym and while the room temp was 35 degrees inside! No AC! I barely couldn’t breathe.. I was totally dehydrated but they really didn’t care..Instead they made everything even more worse.. It started with the super old hairdryer. It didn’t even include a cooling mode to dry my bleached hair. The temp was so hot, it even broke some of my my hair! I was shocked. I called the front desk and complained about it. The whole drama began.They didn’t show any empathy and just put me on a never ending stand by mode just for having a normal working hair dryer. After three hours, they told me someone is on the way to a drugstore to buy a new one after I sarcastically told them it’s possible to buy modern hairdryers with cool modes for only 9.99 €.. You can’t imagine what happened after those 20 min. The GM called me and told me that he’s actually not planning to get any new hairdryer. Excuse me.?..Instead he will ask a hairsalon near by to borrow one.. (!) and in an even blaming tone he told me, normally, if a guest has those kind of special requests they are happy to provide it but of course will charge for it..! Wait a mom.. So, I got told that someone is already organizing another hairdryer. After 20 mins it turned out that they actually lied to me, and even if my hair got damaged from their own middle aged hairdryer, Im now the one who gets blamed?? But sure, why apologizing, right? Play it as Trump and instead make her even pay for it ;) It was traumatizing how poorly they treated me..To have to wait hours in a sauna (my paid room) not knowing how long this will go on..That frustrating argument w the GM..and tha, he switched again and decided that he will now send someone to buy a new one. What a sick power game..? Another 20 min of waiting.. And guess what..The new hairdryer came surprisingly without a cooling mode.. Btw. After all those crazy making bs, they decided to kick me out w the police, simply because they couldn’t handle my justified criticism..
