This was really a BUDGET hotel, perhaps a little more budget than we had anticipated. While the hotel is about 8 km from Brussels, it took us about 45 minutes to find it. * The room was just about large enough for us to get in and out. *The room and fixtures were spartan but kept clean. * The bed and bedclothes were clean. * The WC and the shower stalls were two separate cabinets - this was a first in our experience. * The breakfast was quite a big spread for the money charged, and was really a bonus.

I had a reservation and my trip was moved forward a day and this company wouldn't move my booking despite the fact that they advertise flexible booking ( this was over a month until my trip so there was plenty of notice given) I was told there was no availability but I found the exact same room for the date I needed to change to on their website. I booked this and asked if they could waive their cancellation fee as I hadn't completely cancelled and they were still getting my money, it was just a day earlier than planned. I was told that I couldn't do this and was going to be charged the full £100 if I cancelled and rebooked with the same company, plus the charge for the new room. This is an extremely greedy company that isn't really interested in helping their customers or building relationships with customers they just want your money then they don't care. I had a three week trip around Europe booked with IBIS hotels and I will certainly be cancelling all of them and never using them again as they lie when they advertise their flexibility. ideally situated at transition N_S highway and ring without their noise; excellent bed in quiet room; clean and comfortable toilet, wash basin and shower; very good breakfast with ample choice (3 cereals, nuts and raisins, pastry, bread and jam, eggs, fruit, yogurt, several coffees etc); very decent pizza and spaghetti, snacks and drinks 24/7 in lobby; cheap and safe parking; nice and very good belgian food restaurant in front of hotel; several pubs and restaurant at walking distance.

This was my first time that I have ever stayed in an Ibis Budget hotel anywhere, and I have to say that on seeing the reception area and my room for the 1st time my heart sank a bit. The room looks exactly how I would imagine a student bedroom to look like, very basic and functional, absolutely no cosiness or warmth. Also, the walls are rough cast plaster and in need of repainting, so overall a bit depressing on 1st sight. However, I soon got used to the room, was only in it to sleep and the bed and pillows are the equal to a 5 star hotel. The shower is in a moulded plastic cubicle, but excellent. There were painters there during my stay, so presuming the hotel is getting redone now. Blackout blinds on the windows and totally silent at night. Buffet Breakfast has everything you need, not cooked, but I didn't mind that at all. Lots of different staff over the course of my 5 night stay, but all consistently excellent with their customer service. Ibis must recruit the best and then train them well. I was travelling solo , definitely not a hotel for a romantic getaway. The 'No drugs' sign in the bedroom alarmed me a bit at first, I thought , 'What kindof establishment is this?!' For the price I paid, I couldn't fault it. Super clean. Hard to find any faults considering the price, Well done to Ibis and all the staff.

We stayed with my wife for more than a week. This hotel offered good value for money. The personnel was very professional and helpful, always with a smile. One small problem, the light in the WC kept switching off - probably a problem with the photocell.
