Pleasant Stay, but a Few Drawbacks

Overall, it was a pleasant stay: the hotel was very clean, breakfasts were great, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect—right in the center of Yerevan. However, our stay took place at the end of March and the beginning of April, and the centralized air conditioning system was set to heating, even though it was fairly warm outside. The windows didn’t open fully, and only later did we learn that we could sign a special form allowing the staff to remove the window restrictors. Unfortunately, opening the windows fully wasn’t ideal either, due to the loud noise from the street. Another unpleasant experience was the taxi service to and from the airport. As we found out later, it was extremely overpriced—more than three times the standard rate. For that amount of money, one would expect a luxury vehicle, which was definitely not the case. Not only was our return transfer late, but it was also a right-hand drive car in very poor condition.
