Quiet area which is much appreciated in Bangalore. Good food. Areas of improvement : some rooms need to be renovated. Hose broken, lots of limestone in the shower room 416. Service a bit long at the restaurant

We were not given a good room. There were three of us checking in, but we received a small room. Meanwhile, another family with one adult and one child was given a much bigger room. They never suggested to change the room even next day, when third person checked in

It was a very nice stay with my specific requirements taken care of. The stay was made even more memorable through personal curations by Chef Vilas & overview by Parag Shah. Arcee in the By the Blue poolside restaurant was pretty proactive & attentive and Saumalya from the front office team was pretty courteous. Thanks for making the trip convenient and comfortable!

Our second visit to this hotel, chosen because of convenient location near friends but also with a pool, and because of the rooms being provided with separate lounge, dining area and kitchenette (bedroom can be separated by sliding screen with curtains). There is a good choice of food, both a la carte and buffet, with 3 areas to eat - Verandah main restaurant, the outside courtyard, and the By the Blue poolside. All the staff are extremely welcoming, and regularly ask if they can get us anything. Also impressive that various team leaders came by to check that we were having a good stay - including the general manager himself, and the head chef. Communications with Booking staff and Reception desk were very helpful and efficient, both before and during our stay. The only thing we found less good here - which we commented on last year as well - was the noise level in the restaurant. It is an echoing space because of its design, so the sound of people talking resonates around the room. But the presence of supposedly 'background' music makes this worse, not only from the volume of the music itself which is much louder than background, but because it then means people talk more loudly to be heard. We asked to be seated away from loudspeakers, and in the end we felt the only peaceful place for us to eat was in the courtyard. We know people have different tastes in music so it would be selfish of us to complain about that, but the choice of songs particularly at breakfast did not to us seem at all calm or soothing. For guests who are already hard of hearing it is a difficult atmosphere to be in. We would also comment that at the Sunday Brunch, with live music, the volume of the loudspeakers was so high that even our normal-hearing guests could not hear what we were saying, and we retreated to a downstairs table under the bar canopy where we could sit behind a loudspeaker. The singer was very good and we enjoyed her chosen music but we did also want to enjoy chatting with friends we had flown 1000s of miles to see!
