Good overall first impression, very nice foyer, staff lovely... Room had not been cleaned so had to go back down to reception with all my bags! Was given a free drinks voucher for the inconvenience. New room was fine, one the end so lots of window and great views....shower wasn't very powerful and wouldnt stay where I put it, which was fun! Lots of choice for breakfast, but the hot food wasn't very hot, coffee was great though!

I stay in Novotel Hoofddorp almost every week for 2 nights in average for business. The hotel is conveniently close to the office. Service is good and staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. Sometimes hard for me to book one or two weeks in advance, often no rooms are available anymore. Some things still can be improved: Gym is very small and not well equipped, often the shower drain is clogged and/or smelly and lots of TV channels not working (e.g. Discovery Channel, National Geographic). But no major things. Breakfast is very good! I like the fresh orange juice and the smoothies.

I understand your point about the free shuttle bus, but in many cases this service is also paid, shared between up to 3 properties or only run once every 40 minutes whereby places are not guaranteed. Next to this I trust you appreciate there is no such thing as a free shuttle. The cost of running such a service is up to Euro 300K a year and these costs are always build in to the room rate you pay as a guest. As such, many guests tell us they feel we offer a better product for a lower price than similar hotels. Next to that we have also created a "Novotel Transit App" available in all App stores which gives quick and easy access to real time travel info and also is a great travel tool for the 20 minute train trip to Amsterdam Central Station or any of the other highlights in the region. Room is good - the sofa a bit low quality it seems Restaurant service was bad - lot's of folks, but disorganized (took long, forgot things twice Breakfast was ok, large variety, but not special. Obvioulsy mainly for Asian people
