This is the worst, most worn-down Ibis hotel I have ever stayed in (and that includes Ibis Budget hotels). Both the exterior and interior are worn-down to a large extent. Hallways are dark and smell. The room had no air-conditioning and a window that could hardly open; the curtains are from the 60'ies. I found trash under the bed, and a moisture absorber (which is not good to begin with). The 3-person rooms is just a 2-person room with the beds moved to fit one single extra. That means the beds are in front of the electricity sockets and light switch; turned the lights on twice during the night by just moving in my sleep. One plus: parking is okay.

We booked this hotel for a late arrival for 1 night, after checking that they have a restaurant & a bar. However, on arrival we found no restaurant at all, also for snacks they sale just some diet biscuit bars. At the bar we were able to get some beers. Check-in were very slow as one was handing over to next person for the night. We were told it take time since 1 of them is new and take time, so asked us to sit and wait. We wanted to go to the room, rest and sleep instead we spend more than 45 mts. drinking beers until they are ready to check-in us.

This was somehow an unexpected nice stay at this hotel. Although the hotel level is mean, the atmosphere and the service was gentle and very kind. I felt very well hosted during this stay. Room large and clean, parking area huge and easy access.breakfast is okay.

Fully satisfactory for our needs as transit hotel. Close to the highway at the entrance to Melsungen town. The twin bed rooms are large with the usual good Ibis chain beds. Several entrances along the hotel so you can place your car close to your room. Satisfactory breakfast which ks served from 6.30 hrs. Take your time to visit the cozy city center with its half timbered houses.

My wife and I were very disappointed with this Hotel. The room did not smell clean as if smokers had been there before. In the evening and early morning outside in the parking area a group of people were hanging around making noice and smoking so that it was impossible to have a window open which was not very nice since this hotel does not have airconditioning. And internet was virtually nonexistent, 3mb down and 1mb up. Not at all what we are used to from Ibis Hotels who have all been wonderful up to now. Summing up, I cannot not recommend this hotel to anybody, but the town Melsungen its very pretty and nice to visit
