Your reservation was made at ibis budget Oviedo, rather than at an ibis hotel. ibis budget is a separate Accor brand, with its own concept and room standards. We therefore understand that, as an ALL member who regularly stays at ibis hotels, you may have certain expectations based on those experiences. In particular, the soft bedding topper you mention is part of the ibis standard, but is not included in the ibis budget concept. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding the window, ventilation, storage and television channels, and will take them into consideration where possible. Regarding the air conditioning, we have checked the systems in the rooms concerned and can confirm that they are working correctly. In summer, our system is regulated in accordance with current regulations and our sustainability certification to maintain rooms at around 20–22°C, a temperature range suitable for a comfortable rest and consistent with our environmental commitments. We also take note of your comments regarding cleanliness and maintenance. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide, and your feedback will be shared with the relevant teams. It was my worst experience in an Ibis hotel. The mattress was very hard and uneven, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. I did not feel safe because of the roof between my room and the building opposite. I had to keep the blind down at all times and could not open the window wide without people being able to look into my room. The shower head holder was mounted very high on the wall and at an odd angle, which made it inconvenient to use. The only 2 good things were the location and the silence after 10:30 pm.

Overall, my stay had both positives and negatives. Unfortunately, one of the biggest issues was the constant smell of smoke in the room. As someone who is allergic to smoke, this made the stay particularly uncomfortable. The room itself was quite small and did not have a luggage stand, which made organizing our belongings difficult. There were also several maintenance issues. The seal on the shower door came off, and the air conditioning did not work properly in two different rooms. What made these problems more frustrating was the lackluster response when maintenance assistance was needed. I expected a more attentive and timely approach to resolving these issues. Breakfast was decent and offered a reasonable selection, but there was not enough variety from day to day, so the options became repetitive during the stay. On the positive side, the front desk staff was helpful when assistance was needed. Parking was excellent and very convenient, and the hotel’s location was good. The price was also reasonable for the area, but the value was diminished by the smoke, maintenance problems, and room conditions. Overall, this hotel has some good qualities, particularly the location, parking, helpful front desk staff, and price. However, improvements in room maintenance, air conditioning, smoke control, and responsiveness to guest concerns would make a significant difference in the overall experience.

We enjoyed the breakfast and communal areas of the hotel but did not like the arrangement of the bathroom within the rooms. We will probably stick with Ibis and Styles in the future and avoid Ibis budget.

Possibly due to the eclipse prices for 3/4 star hotels were ludicrous so I chose this as a slightly better option. I won't stay in an ibis budget again as it was too basic for me and in August the Aircon was very very faint. However the shower was great and the beds, while narrow, were comfortable and clean (if you are large of waist, you'll struggle). Breakfast was good.

Our group had the following issues with our four rooms: -lack of working air conditioning in two rooms which continued after staff was notified -water dripping from vents - dirt on floor -spiders in one room -visible mold in shower stalls - hair on floor - no hair dryers in each room -older, sunken mattresses - issues with broken shower seal on door -would appreciate luggage stand

We are sorry if the temperature did not meet your expectations; however, in summer our system is set in accordance with current regulations and our sustainability certification to maintain rooms at around 20–22°C. This is the temperature range recommended for a comfortable rest, and setting the rooms to much lower temperatures is neither possible nor compatible with our environmental commitments. We would also like to point out that ibis budget is our most economical hotel category, with a deliberately simpler concept and facilities than ibis or ibis Styles. I was wary of this hotel because some of the reviews were bad. However, I found it was perfect for my needs: I was able to take my bike into my room, the room had excellent sound-proofing, the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful (although the food was only average) and the in-room facilities were great. It is not a luxury hotel, but if you just want a good-value, comfortable room, it is perfect.

The ventilation in the hallways is so noisy that it interferes with sleeping in the room Even with the ventilation working, there was constant high humidity both in the hotel and in the room The room design itself was so-so; moving the sink to the bedside area only increased the dampness The sink itself was extremely inconvenient, and I constantly banged my hands on the walls while trying to clean it The lack of any kind of closet made it impossible to properly fold clothes The shower is always fixed, which inevitably results in wet hair even if you don't want it The hole in the shower door seems to be deliberately positioned to allow water to drain out Furthermore, due to the constant humidity in the room, the floor barely dries The toilet has a loudly slamming seat and door Also, all of the above doesn't close properly, so everyone in the room can smell and hear all the smells and sounds And the final nail in the coffin was the lack of outlets near the bed

Stayed one night, the room was fine, showing it age a little but was perfect accept for a mandatory fire exit green light, very bright. Staff were friendly, clean and very quiet during the night, the free parking was waste land !! I took the paid parking security was good, although I did notice you could go from the street to any floor in the lift bypassing reception, the bed was ok but as I am a little older the mattress was not very firm, only one very small pillow, heating was fine. Shower excellent. Good pressure and very hot.

Ibis budget is very basic. There is no socket near the bed, that's inconvenient, otherwise it's fine. I don't get this separate toilet and shower, and an open sink in the room; I was on my own so it was ok, but if I stayed with someone it would bother me. The bed was comfortable.
