Wonderful overnight stay at Ibis Tainui Hamilton. The rooms overlooking the river are always welcomed with great views to the river, bridge and colourful spring & cherry blossoms all out. I enjoyed both Dinner & Breakfast with Luna (Bar/restaurant) and Rangi (breakfast) being very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend the Laksa (main meal) and delicious Affogato (dessert).

The room wasn't clean on the bathroom sink long hair and the bed was not comfortable as two single bed was joint instead of one bed.

This is a hotel based on an off the shelf design used by many airport locality hotels. Whilst the room was comfortable enough, the bathroom was small, the window was small and you cannot open the window. I come from rural NZ, I want an opening window or door to a small deck, but I felt like a chicken in a coop.

I stayed with a group of elderly women. The food was great, we had dinner and breakfast. I also get the free drink from the room card envelope. It was a bit of a drawn out process but patience is a virtue, that definitely paid off that day.

Our second stay at the Ibis. Our welcome on arrival was very friendly and we appreciated being given a room overlooking the river and railway - we do like trains! The appearance of the restaurant was really good and the food and service for dinner and breakfast was excellent. checkout was quick and efficient. The only negative was the $42 per night charged for valet parking which I thought was quite expensive for the location.

The service from reception was fantastic. Went above and beyond to sort out parking for 2 cars. Rooms are comfortable. The room menu could do with a few more basic items for fussier people for dinner menu.
