1. My husband went to make a cup of coffee, the bottom of the kettle was sticky and brown muck was flaking off. We called housekeeping and after a long wait they brought a cup. After another long wait they brought a water jug. After another wait they brought a kettle. 2. There were no bathrobes. The bed was extremely comfortable, pillows lumpy (possibly at the end of their life and need replacing?)

Love our stays at Novotel Tainui, appreciate the room upgrade provided with our membership tier. Check in as great, felt really valued and genuine conversation around our day and weekend ahead. Room was well appreciated, always the best comfort with the bed so had great sleeps! Checkout is 11am, housekeeping were knocking on our door at 10.35am? I would expect some sort of dynamic system so they knew who had checked out before official checkout time. Not an early knock 9on the door. Finally I was a little dissatisfied with checkout. Not the usual standard at this hotel. Was not asked how my stay was, or thanked for choosing the hotel. She just went through motions of a checkout. Just a few things you become accustomed to with the Accor brand and usually Novotel Tainui do this well.

Staff and room were great, only concern is parking and basement parking of $42 a day is out the gate.

We're thrilled you enjoyed our location and the service from our staff but understand that parking costs can be a concern, and we appreciate your input on that. There are some free parks situated adjacent to the hotel along the riverside, but these are taken on a first come, first served basis - and obviously in demand.
