The property is located right at the beach with nice restaurant. The rooms however are small compared to what you would like to have but that's about ibis in general. The staff were really nice. However since the intercom was either not working or no one was managing, couldn't connect to the reception from room and had to walk all the way down every single time. The breakfast had almost same menu everyday which was not great experience but not complaining. The staff was really helpful in getting early check in and late check out based on our request.

Ibis Samui hotel is a budget friendly option for Koh Samui. It is on the more affordable side for families and has that feeling on site. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The main pools are small but nice and the sea views from the pools are fabulous. The small water slides are suitable up to about 6 years of age. The adults only pool is dirty. Too dirty to use! There is a layer of scum on the top of the water. The other pools are not like this so I'm not sure why this is the case. The connecting rooms are good for families however there is a serious lack of storage space. I don't usually care about that as im happy to live out of my suitcase, but there isn't enough room for the suitcases in the room! We had to get very creative with space, pulling beds apart and stuffing suitcases under them etc. The breakfast isn't good. We stayed for 7 nights but only ate the breakfast twice even though it was included in our rate. The rooms have zero sound proofing, you will hear everything in neighbouring rooms & the corridor. The cleaning is good. We were always happy with the cleanliness. Overall a mixed review.

Had a really great stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, which made such a difference. The room was spot on, aircon was lovely and the bed was so comfy I genuinely didn’t want to leave it. Breakfast was included in my rate and it was brilliant, loads of choice with a view of the beach and the sunrise, which was fabulous. Bonus points for having washing machines available too, such a lifesaver. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed 10 nights and liked the location. The hotel caters for families and children. It is definitely not for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. There are 3 pools for children and 1 pool supposed to be for adults but every pool had children jumping in, screaming and ball games. This seriously needs to be monitored so the adults have a quiet calm area to relax and enjoy swimming in. Sadly, the breakfast was quite poor, cereals very limited and some food not hot. However, the fresh egg station was very good and the ladies who cooked the eggs did a great job. A lot of the staff were very friendly and polite but sadly we won’t stay again. It is a hotel that focuses on families and children, not for couples.

I recently spent a few wonderful days at ibis Samui Bophut from June 19 to 21, 2026. To be completely honest, it didn't feel like a regular hotel stay at all. It honestly felt like I was traveling to visit a group of my dearest, closest friends—except these friends actually keep the place spotless and mix incredible drinks for me! From the very second I arrived until the moment I had to say goodbye, the beautiful, radiating warmth and infectious "good mood" of the entire property completely wrapped me up. The rooms are incredibly cozy and flawlessly maintained—the most peaceful little sanctuary to return to after letting the Samui sun melt me away all day. But the real magic, the reason this place stole my heart, is the beautiful people who work here. Everyone is just so incredibly kind, greeting you with the most genuine, heartwarming smiles, and making every single process feel entirely effortless. I have to give a massive, affectionate shout-out to the absolute MVPs of my trip: Khun Yean (Assistant Front Office Manager): Even though she was actually on her days off during my stay, she still went completely out of her way to ensure the exact room I hoped for was perfectly prepared for me. She is so wonderfully proactive and friendly, always walking over to chat, sharing the best promotions, and crafting what I can confidently say are the absolute best drinks on the entire island! (Trust me, I tested them very thoroughly). Her bright energy made my poolside relaxation unforgettable.
