It’s late July, and my family (2x adults, 2x teenagers) and I have had the utter delight of staying at the Banyan Tree Kho Samui for the last 8nights. Unfortunately, we leave today. I travel with work extensively around the world and have been lucky enough to stay in some nice establishments across the world; I know what 5* looks and feels like. This last week has been amazing, and I rate this as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Made more special that I could share the experience with my most important people. From the moment we arrived Chan our host made us feel incredibly welcome and completely comfortable. Throughout our stay Chan continued to be a constant smiling face who helped us navigate spa bookings, external trips and restaurant reservations. Good humoured, polite, and caring she made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. We were upgraded on arrival and made the most of our Hillcrest Family Villa. We had previously stayed in similar accommodation in West Indies, Bali, South Africa, and Mauritius, but this location is truly unrivalled. The food is fresh and plentiful. There is a wide range of evening options, catering for all moods - Michelin to BBQ. Breakfast offers options from traditional Thai to European or Japanese, and more standard hotel fair. Always served fresh, always effortless. The villa was kept spotless by Lala and Pao who attended twice a day leaving us daily gifts and surprises that brought a smile to our faces. Every member of staff we encountered made us feel special; names remembered; food and drinks remembered; restaurant and beach seating preferences remembered; all unprompted. We all commented on how hard the team worked to make our stay memorable and special. My family and I have a world map we stick pins in to follow our journeys to date, and we always say we will never go back to the same place twice; but I think we may well be back here soon. If you're a couple or a family, looking for a luxury space to be pampered, to breathe, decompress and relax then Banyan Tree Koh Samui comes (very) highly recommended. Its paradise.

An amazing location at Koh Samui island 🏝️ Beautiful views, nice and polite staff, lush nature and the perfect vacation altogether. The beach is a bit rocky, the food is super fresh and very tasty, and the activities you can do are plenty. Yoga with Bikram and beautiful spa & massages are highlights! Would love to come back 🏝️

We have just returned from an exceptional week at this incredible hotel. Everything was first class, from the facilities, outstanding location, fabulous villas and the courteous staff. The food was fantastic and the variety of drinks available impressive. The hotel feels like a haven of tranquility and we were loathed to travel far from it. Every evening at turn down, our housekeeping staff would light an oil burner to make the villa smell divine for when we came back and provide heavenly pillow sprays! Little gifts were also left out every evening, these are little touches but they all add up to create an impressive feeling of care and attention. Our villa host, Golf, was efficient and friendly and helped us arrange a trip to the night market. He also provided us with some treatment for insect bites which worked like a dream I might add! We felt extremely sad to leave but also incredibly fortunate to have experienced the warm and genuine hospitality. We would highly recommend for anyone travelling to beautiful Samui. Thank you Banyan Tree Samui!
