Banyan Tree Samui deserves a long essay, this is how excellent this place is. I want to keep it short though. Literally everything starting with dreamlike location, top notch accommodation but most of all service level of staff is 10 out of 10. I cannot think of a single flaw during our one week stay. Special mention goes to Tak, our villa host, who showed wonderful care, politeness and genuine heart while caring for us.

It was my in-laws' 60th wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate at Banyan Tree Koh Samui coz we had an unforgettable experience at Banyan Tree Phuket. We know Banyan Tree won't disappoint. And this time, my in-laws were blown away by the exceptional experience we had. We were first greeted by our villa host Dada who did an excellent job in showing us the villa. My in-laws were then sweetly surprised by the beautiful cake delivered to their villa for their anniversary, which made them feel so special. Apart from helping us with our dinner booking, Dada also helped me fix a small issue with the bathroom sink after a few rounds of communication. The property has been around for some years, so some wear and tear is understandable. Beauty is another villa host who helped look after our 2 villas. Not only is Beauty professional and experienced, I am also impressed by how quickly she helped resolve problems. One of our luggages was slightly damaged after our flight, and we needed some safety pins to close the luggage. Thanks to Beauty for getting us the safety pins after I texted her. Villa hosts like Dada and Beauty come to The Edge during breakfast time to see us. They reminded guests of their bookings so that we know when and where our activities are for the day. The Ocean View Villa has the most stunning view, overlooking the (private) beach and the ocean. We did snorkeling and standup paddling with gears that can be used for free. I love the pool inside the villa where I go swimming and chill every day. I also love their detailed touch of putting a rack next to the pool for drying swim suits. The resort itself is a beautiful rainforest. So we sometimes walk from our villa to the beach or up to The Edge for breakfast, instead of calling the buggy. At the spa, thanks to Fah at the spa reception who offers the best advice on massages to choose from, and also has a lovely smile. The 4 of us had the best massages ever. The Edge has the best variety of food for breakfast, making it an exciting routine to get up for breakfast. It took us a few days to cover the whole selection of food, which is just amazing. Poi at the egg station is the most attentive and caring staff around. Not only did she remember me and ask if I may have any special food request, she offered us mango sticky rice and a traditional Thai dessert (coconut milk and cooked banana). Her genuine smile and kindness makes us feel so cared for. When we had BBQ dinner at The Sands one night, I learned from the chef that we could also order breakfast smoothie by talking to the staff there; they even had bubbly in chilled bottles on the bar counter that I must have missed. I remember Banyan Tree Phuket also offers customizable smoothie during breakfast, which is so nice. We had Thai cuisine one night at Saffron. Their food and service (with a personal touch) is absolutely out of this world. I highly recommend it.

Amazing villa and experience. Only one negative, the cloakroom smelled a little unpleasant, could do with a refresh. Staff were excellent, however please be sure not to open the villa door whilst guests are still present. Food was very good, we especially enjoyed the breakfasts in such a stunning setting. Saffron portions a little too large for appetizer and atmosphere could be improved upon. Food very good though. Just constructive feedback, because we had an incredible time.

Banyan Tree surpassed any and all expectations ! The room was huge, with a very welcome room upgrade by the hotel. The beach is small, but beautiful and private and more than big enough for the hotel guests. They offer free snorkelling, paddle boarding and even wind surfing. All of the staff are hugely helpful and a special mention has to be made of Dada, our guest services contact, who made herself available at any time to book activities or help answer any questions we had. This was honestly one of the most relaxing, special places we have stayed in and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was phenomenal. The property was amazing, kept up to date and service staff were all wonderful. Special shoutout to Abby our villa host who made our stay so comfortable and welcoming. Also had a massage with Tok who was really attentive and skilful. We look forward to be back some day.
