Can’t fault the place, staff really friendly, especially Micah, very kind to me was travelling alone. Loved the pool and spa, food was lovely. Would definitely recommend. Never been to Manchester before but would be happy to return.

What an absolute gem. I have had a wonderful time with my partner at the spa. Wonderful service, great food and great facilities. Our luch was really delicious. The most amazing is that there are different saunas and even an ice room. We definitely will be back.

Tired, dated and definitely not 4 star- friendly staff though and nice food.

Room was OK ("priveledge" room) but everythings just tired and old. Bedsheets weren't changed all week whilst i was there. One day the room hadn't been cleaned when i came back from work at 6pm. Restaurant is in the old house bit which frankly needs pulling down. Its like going for dinner at your grans musty old house. Staff were all nice and friendly but the building hasn't been decorated in at least 25 years I guess. Sticky tables, dirty old carpets, worn furniture, that all pervading musty smell everywhere. Notices in the lift warning about drug use not being permitted is a tell tale sign. Gym equipment is again, old and dated. Pool is ok and so is the thermal spa bit, changing rooms again were dirty. Food was good though, no complaints about that. Nobody on reception on a friday morning to do check outs- ridiculous. The night porter tried to check me out but had no idea what he was doing. The place needs money spending on it quickly, 3 star at best, definitely nowhere near 4 star.

Wonderfully relaxing spa day and great treatments

Went to the Mercure Norton Grange for a spa day with my cousin and we were both really impressed by the facilities, the cleanliness of the place, the friendly staff, and great value for money. Two treatments were included in the package (a back massage and facial) which therapist Tammy administered wonderfully. Would highly recommend!

Dreadful Place

Old decrepit property that appears not to have been updated in decades. It’s a maze of corridors and resembles a boarding house, rather than a hotel. Staff are polite but unprofessional and there appears to be little by way of systems and processes. On the day of check in, I had to call them 11 times before somebody finally answered the phone. Upon check in and subsequent visits to the tiny reception area, the only person in attendance was consumed with outside calls, guest enquires and delivering items to guest rooms. All my calls to reception during the stay were unanswered. Don’t waste your time for money with this low level old property.
