Excellent central hotel … perfect for a city break and easy walking to Canal St. Very friendly staff who are there to help at all times. Breakfast plentiful and a long time slot so you can eat from 6:30 until late morning. Rooms clean and tea and coffee available.

The room was very clean and spacious and we got a good deal on our night stay. The air condition was working fine and there were tea and coffee available, which was a nice touch! The reception could do with a bit of investment, as it’s just a table and laptop with visible wires. Liked the easy check out with regards to dropping your keys off and the time of check out was very generous at 12pm! Would stay here again, if I returned to Manchester.

I’ve stayed here the last couple of times that I’ve visited Manchester. A 5/10 minute walk from Oxford Road and Picadilly Stations. The hotel is ideally situated for Canal Street. 2 minutes away. Picadilly Gardens 5 minutes. The rooms are spacious. Beds comfortable and nice walk in showers. Tv, kettle and hairdryer in room (not that I need that). There’s also an enclosed space with hanging rail for clothes. There is an ironing room on the 2nd floor. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Given the location the prices for this hotel are very reasonable. They also offer a loyalty club which offers a further 10% discount. Highly recommended.

Tiny room tiny shower slow service not very clean the only good thing it is close to the train station and the city center, but I wouldn’t come again ,, I paid £280 for bed only !!the usual of UK worse hotels worse service and absolutely over priced !!!

Note that Ibis hotels are classed as an Economy brand and consequently offer limited amenities. May I also clarify that our rates increase when major events are happening in Manchester. No sleep here on a Saturday night!

This hotel has a nightclub across the road, a train track opposite, a pub on the corner and is on a busy road used by nocturnal drivers who like their horns a lot! The windows when closed offer good sound proofing, which is fine if you don't want to breathe. My room was a hot airless box, the air con didn't work, presumably turned off centrally or broken. (Also broken was the button on the lift for my floor, so I couldn't take it to floor 6, necessitating the need to walk the fire escape stairs from floor 5 to 6. There is a second lift.. it has a missing/broken button for floor 4.) I had to keep the window open all night in order to get some air and try to manage the heat.. which meant pulsating music from the nightclub, car horns, trains, people shouting ..someone trying to break a door in at 1.00am ... I GOT NO SLEEP! Plus points- friendly staff, central location, decent room decor. Bad point - noise, no air con, broken lifts and super hard bed..like sleeping on a board.

I'm sorry to hear that, on this occasion, you couldn't fully enjoy a good night sleep mainly due to the disturbance caused by the external noise. Due to our central location, close to some students bars and clubs, it is difficult to stop all outside nuisance. As you've pointed out, our accommodations are equipped with double glazing windows which helped blocking the noise. Unfortunately, as a result, you room felt too warm to your liking. May I clarify that all our accommodations are fitted with an Air Climate Control system (NOT Air Conditioning) which is linked to the outside temperature and will only blow warm or cool air accordingly, We appreciate that it will not suit all our guests so portable fans and heaters are available on request. I would also like to mention that some of your accommodations are facing the back of our hotel and tend to be quieter but, as their availability is limited, we would advise guests to ask for those prior to arrival so they can be pre-allocated. Regarding the broken lifts buttons, this is sadly not in the hotel control. Contractors have been called in a few days ago and we are still waiting for the missing parts. On a positive note, I'm pleased that you found our central location convenient, our facilities up to your needs and our Team friendly, Thanks again for raising your concerns which are definitely invaluable in our constant effort to improve the quality of our products.
