We really enjoyed our stay with you. The room was lovely. We had room service which was really good and also enjoyed your coffee lounge. The breakfast my husband enjoyed on the two mornings we were there (Too early for me) Everything was perfect

Fantatsic warm welcome, as always at this hotel, staff are great, upgraded room. However the main reason for staying here is the gym, steam room and pool. On the first morning the staff were late opening the leisure club and it wasnt available until nearly 8am. The jacuzzi is was out of order, the steam room had no steam and smelt stale, the sauna was barely at 65Deg . The second morning when I arrived at the leisure club it was still locked up at 7am, went back at 7:30 and a sign had been put up to say it wouldnt open until 8:00am, went back at 8:00am and was informed that the staff member hadn't turned up and they were trying to reach the leisure club manager and was closed until further notice

I had a Spa stay to celebrate my sisters birthday.There were 4 of us and we really enjoyed our selves. The hotel is in a beautiful setting. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed the location, lovely old building with lots of charm.New builds and spa blended in well. Breakfasts and evening meals were good and wholesome although the interpretation of the dinner menu left a little to be desired. A privilege room had been booked for the stay, room 30 was allocated, this was the most awful room with none of the extras promised. All the doubled glazed window panes in this rooms were internally misted not allowing any view and the room simply had no ambience. room was rejected and room 57 was given, surprisingly all that was promised was in the room. A little disappointed in the standard of dress code in areas where food was being served, bar.... shorts, vest top and no footwear Main dining breakfast...... female guest arriving for breakfast in pyjamas!!!! To my knowledge both these incidents went unchallenged!!

Spa was a very big let down, room was ok but cobwebs, small dead flies on windowsill, pillows were like house bricks, food was very nice and looked after well by Andrew (could not fault him) No reception signs on approach to building, quite unwelcoming, very tired look in places. Won't be returning.

Overall we had a good stay but unfortunately we were in room 15, which had some sort of fan or extractor out side so we didn’t get any sleep at all. Everything else was great

Poorly organised staff in restaurant / staff shortage. Unable to book an early dinner (18.30), not because restaurant was busy but shortage of staff. Choice of menu for 4 days / nights limited, not enough vegetarian options (only 1).Difficult to book a table for 2 couples, we had to explain every day we were with 4 people ( 2 rooms).

Well what can I say the spa wasn’t clean at all we compalained managed to get half refund disgusting in places jacuzzi not working steam room so hot u couldn’t get in Messed up our bill at our meal large parties in restaurant so we were ignored not just me and my friend few others felt the same

From check in to check out the whole experience was awful. Breakfast quality was poor. Room was dated - windows wouldn’t close and tv worked intermittently. Not sure why my room was so far away. Won’t return

Stayed overnight for my birthday , was very pleasant , made full use of the spa the only one bad thing the jacuzzi was out of order , which was disappointing , apart from that everything else was beautiful , we had evening meal in the dining room which was excellent , and so were your staff , first class x

It did the job, but overall ,disappointing. We were staying for the weekend whilst attending a wedding elsewhere. We were contacted on Friday afternoon to say there would be no food available on Saturday after 5pm due to staff pressures with other events. Certain areas were slightly "run down" at the edges, and the stairs need repair to be suitable for elderly guests. The hotel room was missing soap etc, but otherwise Ok - I think most problems were either due to lack of staff or lack of repair in places. The bar staff were massively under pressure on Friday afternoon, despite their being only a handful of guests at that time. On the plus side we had a really nice meal there with others on the Friday night, the breakfast buffet was very good, the restaurant clean etc and it was convenient for the other wedding

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was a bit "tired" in places , the menu & wine list was limited , but what we had was fine. The breakfast room was overwhelmed at 9am on our final day, partly because a coach party had arrived the night before. The service throughout the hotel was excellent with everyone being very polite & helpful.
