Very pleasant staff. Decent bed / room with a fridge that was very useful. The food in my opinion is overpriced for the quality that you receive and the menu is lacking in choice. I understand it’s lockdown so I think this should be reflected in the prices charged for food

Everything was fine except the fact the room i was put in , number 54, has mould on the ceiling of the bathroom and had a tap that didn't turn off , so the endless noise / annoying noise kept me up the majority of the night, i wish i had requested to move rooms as was here because of work, of which i woke up feeling very tiered had listened to the torturous noise of the bath bathroom tap !!

I stayed during covid and understand the restrictions at the time however the breakfast supplied was not good quality and the choice was very poor. The lady on reception on Sunday evening and Monday morning was very welcoming and helpful, however the reception on Monday evening when I returned back was unmanned and I could hear general chit chat in a room off of reception. There was therefore no one to make sure that all the guests were observing the rules and I came across another guest who was not wearing a face covering.

one down side was the breakfast ....I understand the issues we currently have with Covid but to have just 1 roll allowed with fruit and a juice to start the day was poor ....Had there been no restrictions there would have been a full breakfast

The secret escapes deal was brilliant. The room was comfortable and food marvellous. Surprised we got charged £3.25 extra for a tiny portion of veg when I looked at my bank account but only a small complaint!

My stay occurred during the changeover to Lockdown, I was impressed with the service that the hotel arranged to cater for meals. I ordered my meal for Room service when I returned to the hotel and it arrived at the appointed time, which was a hot and enjoyable meal. Admittedly the menu is limited but hopefully chef will change it regularly.

I chose the Albrighton as a short escape from city living. Unfortunately I ended up in a room even more depressing than a tiny London flat. The first thing I noticed when I entered my room was that the window was covered with a semi-opaque sticker. I could not see out of the window at all. Upon opening the window I discovered my room was one of two that over looked the bins. I appreciate that bins are not a pleasant view, but the absence of full natural light made me feel as though I was in a prison cell.

Nowhere near a 4* Experience

Firstly, most of the staff are great. But the hotel is a shambles. Have been in multiple rooms. All with issues around maintenance. The rooms in the stable block have seemingly just been abandoned by the management. Nothing works. The heating is insufficient. Doors fall off wardrobes. Cold water pressure is a trickle. Reading light bulbs need replaced. Wobbly tables. I could go on. On top of this, the hotel food is really disappointing. There is a pasta dish that is as bad as I have ever had, anywhere. And the food generally betrays and lack of leadership and attention to detail in the kitchen. Aside from the lovely exterior and grounds, this is a poor three star experience. You’d be better off in a Premier Inn. At least everything would work there, and you can would unlikely be stuck in the middle of nowhere when you realise how bad the food is.

Went to Albrighton hall on a 'Living social ' 2 day deal. Had a very pleasant stay. Good location, nice staff, nice room. So much so that I asked how much for an extra night stay. I was quoted an horrendous price for B/B. This in a room that I presently occupied that would need no servicing. Two days before lockdown. The hotel was not full. Needless to say, my wife and I moved to another hotel, Holiday inn Express

We had the couples Aquamarine spa package. This was suppose to start with a cream tea and we received 2 burnt scones, we complained and were told they were the last 2. We then had to have an alternative. Upon arrival of the room we found all our bath towels were stained and dirty. Complained to the receptionist and told we would have to collect the new ones ourselves. Onto Dinner we we were given a bottle of wine on our table no staff said a word, which we thought was part of the package so opened the wine, I then had a latte which was disgusting and watery. We were aware of the meal was included in the package, as we left we were told we owed for the wine and the latte. We mentioned that we never asked for the wine it was just given and put on our table, and the latte was cold and watery. The staff apologetic said sorry you were given the wine but You had opened It so you have to pay for it £25 fee. Very sneaky sales point from the restaurant we were not happy having to fork out extra pounds. Breakfast was very cold and the beans were hard and sent back. Spa treatments I had a back massage this again did not turn into a relaxing session this was a beautician enjoying pinching blackheads on my back and not doing the massage. I found this to be disgusting. Overall a very disappointing stay for £195 package and especially as I had been the month before and enjoyed it, to then end up a whole different experience. Not what I would expect from a higher rated Hotel. And certainly won’t be returning.

A lovely overnight stay. We were upgraded by our friends to a suite which was huge with a lovely big bed and large walk in shower, all spotlessly clean, the only thing I missed was not having a bath. As part of our package we had a two course dinner which was excellent, the staff were excellent and very attentive. Would have liked some vegetables to be included with the meal rather than having to order as extra though. The lounge areas are lovely and social distanced with hand sanitiser stations and one way route. Breakfast was lovely and all brought to the table. We briefly walked the grounds which are very pretty. Would recommend for a nice getaway.

Breakfast was worse than a transport cafe, canceled our dinner booking on the advice of another guest. The quality of the food was very poor and not what you would expect from Mecure. We decided not eat at the hotel again during our stay. It was very disappointing.

bath mat was brown long hairs in bath teaspoons had tea or coffee stains on the back. charging an extra £12.00 for a steak was a bit much when it was not that good can get better from Aldi and being charged £1 for a tablespoon of ice-cream to o with the cheese cake. then being over charge when were were going to leave and trying to explain this to receptions look three attempts. If she would have give us the bills to look at in the first place it would have been sorted straight away

Beatiful grounds and friendly staff. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, the room was a very good size at a good price. The restaurant had lovely panelled walls which made breakfast and dinner a little more special. Our son loved the swimming pool. We all loved Kirsty on reception, who was friendly and fun. Room located in stables, so long walk too and from bar. Key would not work so had to walk back to sort key out, no apology given. Shower water would not go down quick enough, meaning shower was close to over flowing every time. Toilet button fell off first time using it, wardrobe door broken with no guide rails. Towel with yellow stain and cobwebs on the ceiling. Over all not worth the price paid. One last thing it was very cold when we first entered the room.
