Road closures around the hotel will be in effect from 4:00 am to 4:00 pm, restricting access to both the hotel and the Charles Street Car Park. Access to the Arundel Gate Car Park will remain available via the Pond Street entrance.

Not the best

Very rare i leave negative reviews but unfortunately our stay wasn't pleasant. The provilaged king suite was advertised as a kingsize bed but in reality it was two beds pushed together luckily my wifes half was comfy but mine was like sleeping on a bag of nails and had partly collapsed. Also the location of the room was right next to the lifts room 506 ( avoid!! ) which are a constant drone throughout the night and morning which with an added uncomfortable bed sleep wasn't an option. Bathroom also had black mold and some of the rooms appliances didn't work. Location lobby and breakfast was nice and staff very friendly. Steam and sauna was very busy and a couple of drunk guest did spoil it ( wasn't the cleanest also ) made a complaint in the morning and was just told sorry. Unfortunately we wont be returning!

Poor hotel, not four star

We stayed here last night. In room 130. Location is ideal. Check in experience was poor. Signing a piece of paper to have the card reader to pay for breakfast put on top whilst writing. Room. Large but that's about it. The furniture is dated and damaged. Mini bar advertised. Fridge empty. No milk or tea or coffee but a kettle provided. Wardrobe had no doors. The extractor fan in the bathroom was on constantly. There was a sewerage smell in the bathroom which is why I suspect they don't allow the extractor to turn off. The bed was horrendous. Uncomfortable mattress. Everytime you move on the bed, even a fraction, the base creaked like it was about to break (I'm not that heavy)! Pillows, flat as pancakes may as well not have been there. Air con doesn't work. Carpet filthy. Bar area. Absolutely filthy. Appears welcoming. You sit on a chair and see the stained muck. The only plus point, was the breakfast was nice. However the facilities so poor this is overall a terrible hotel. I was going to raise this on check out. We weren't even asked how our stay was! If anybody from the hotel does read this, I would be happy to share my experience with you.

Laura and Lucy did the facials for me and my mum. The products are beautiful and the facial was amazing, highly recommended. We will both be back next month for the foot massages. Its a great spa with lovely relaxation rooms.

An enjoyable New Year experience

We go every year with the grandchildren to the pantomime but apart from that the GCs just love the whole experience of visiting the hotel, having breakfast etc. The staff are very good with them. We also think the attached pool and saunas etc which are included in the price of the rooms are very well run.
