Upon arrival on the bedroom our window dropped opened and we weren't able to close it. No having a phone in the room I had to go to the reception to ask for it to be repaired. The answer was 'ok, I'll deal with it later '. Later I had again to go downstairs not wanting to leave without a solution, I informed that I didn't want to sleep with an open window. The answer was: "We have no other room, you are free to cancel." So at 7pm I should cancel and what? Sleep on the car. Or accept sleeping with an open window. In the end after insisting with the person at the reception, on the 18/04, offered to go and try to fix it. Which he was able to. So why, making everything worse by suggesting to either sleep with the window open or to cancel?... Overall the stay was nice apart from the window episode.

Breakfast is not great, the eggs were dry and not enough vegetarian food. The room was in quite shabby state, especially the bathroom. There was no toilet brush for example. The window didnÂŽt open anywhere, so almost no natural light, and the window was covered with a semi translucent plastic.

Excellent welcome at reception and always helpful. However our room 228 was really poor for the price with one small window in a family room which would not even open. Shower did not work properly had extremes of cold and dangerously hot water which were hard to control. The shower immediately flooded the bathroom and several towels required to clear up. The room was v cold when we arrived only ac to heat it ineffectively. Beds well made. Would not consider staying again.

Great location, and close to a xar park and the train station Hotel was spotlessly clean, friendly staff and facilitated a good night's sleep The only slight surprise was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I'm sure this was made clear on the website - and I missed it - but their inclusion would have been welcome

Three night stay b&b over a weekend. Hotel is well located short walk from the train station and on edge of main shopping area. Kortrijk is a lovely town, nice squares, traffic free and lots of cafes and restaurants. Hotel was clean, rooms clean but could do with a refresh of the decor. Beds very comfortable and shower powerful.Hand basin tap didn’t work properly and only paper cups in the room. Breakfast excellent, huge choice caters for meat and veggie tastes. Nice bar with good choice of beers but seating area not very comfortable.

Staff are friendly and breakfast is fine but the bed was uncomfortable. It was one of those double beds that's actually two twin beds but it wouldn't stay together and the layer in top of it kept moving. Also the walls are so thin you can hear people snoring in the room next door (they're clearly aware of it as they provide earplugs)
